After a series of names such as Honda Vario 160 Repsol, Honda Dash 125, Yamaha 135LC... Recently, it is the turn of the new version of the Honda Vario 125 2025 sports scooter imported from Malaysia to be brought to the Vietnamese market. This is the first batch of Honda Vario 125 motorbikes imported from Malaysia to Vietnam through a non-genuine shop specializing in imported motorbikes in Ho Chi Minh City. However, the number of Honda Vario 125 motorbikes imported from Malaysia to Vietnam is not as much as from Indonesia because Honda Vietnam (HVN) and some shops are distributing them.
In terms of appearance, the Honda Vario 125 imported from Malaysia has no noticeable differences compared to the version imported from Indonesia distributed by HVN. The model by Boon Siew Honda Sdn Bhd still retains the sporty, angular, strong, masculine design style that has created the brand and unique style of the Vario 125. Honda Vario 125 "Made in Malaysia" also has a sporty front fairing, combined with a square, low-mounted LED headlight cluster. While the LED positioning strip is curved, creating a V shape on the front fairing. The footrest is flat, the saddle is solid. The vehicle still has the same length, width, and height measurements of 1,918 x 679 x 1,066 (mm), wheelbase of 1,280 mm, saddle height of 769 mm, and ground clearance of 131 mm. The vehicle is still equipped with an LCD screen displaying information, Smartkey, and a front storage compartment equipped with an additional charging port for mobile devices...
The vehicle is equipped with a new set of decorative decals, completely different from the Vario models previously distributed in Vietnam. In addition, the level of completion and the continuity between the assembled parts are also highly appreciated. This scooter model has a suspension system including front telescopic forks and a rear monoshock with adjustable preload, no different from the version produced in Indonesia as well as the HVN version currently distributed in Vietnam. Honda Vario imported from Malaysia still uses 14-inch alloy wheels on both wheels, combined with CBS combined braking system including front disc brakes and rear drum brakes. Honda's joint venture in Malaysia equips the Honda Vario 125 with a single-cylinder, 125cc SOHC, 4-stroke, eSP technology, liquid-cooled engine integrated with FI electronic fuel injection system. This engine is refined, producing 11.5 horsepower at 8,500 rpm and 11.7 Nm of torque at 5,000 rpm.
Compared to the engine on the Vario 125 distributed by HVN, the "Made in Malaysia" Honda Vario 125 engine has the same power but about 1 Nm more pulling force. The vehicle is certified as an Energy Efficient Vehicle (EEV) and has a three-star rating from the Malaysian Motorcycle Assessment Program (MyMAP) and consumes only 2.1 liters of fuel per 100 km. The distributor of the "Made in Malaysia" Honda Vario 125 has not announced the price of this model. However, previously in the Malaysian market, this model was officially sold for 7,268 ringgit, equivalent to 39.07 million VND. Meanwhile, the Honda Vario 125 distributed by HVN has a suggested price of 40.735 - 41.226 million VND.
