This afternoon (November 12), the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) held a press conference to summarize the National Press Award "For the cause of Vietnamese education" 2025.

The award is not only a professional activity, but has truly become a spiritual forum for writers for knowledge, for people, for the future of the country.
Mr. Loi said that the Award attracted more than 800 entries in 4 types of journalism: Print, Electronic, Radio and Television.
What is valuable is that besides the central press agencies, many localities from mountainous areas, islands to remote areas have contributed their voices and breath of life to the vivid picture of Vietnamese education today.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi affirmed that each entry is not only the crystallization of the creative work of journalists, but also a strong message about the society's trust in education. The press continues to be a companion, a critical voice, a source of inspiration for the education sector on the path of fundamental and comprehensive innovation.
Today's award is not only a tribute to outstanding journalistic work, but also a tribute to social responsibility, dedication and enduring belief in the power of knowledge and education.
Education has always been an endless source of inspiration for journalism, and journalism is the bridge that helps education get closer to the heart of society.
The Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association believes that, with the support of the press and the entire society, we will continue to foster a humane, creative and integrated Vietnamese education, contributing to realizing the aspiration to develop a prosperous and happy country.
Sharing at the press conference, Journalist Trieu Ngoc Lam, Editor-in-Chief of Education and Times Newspaper, emphasized that the entries showed the clear maturity of the education journalism team: from the way of choosing topics, processing data, to modern, multimedia presentation methods.
Many series of articles have reflected on current issues of the industry such as: implementing the 2025 Teachers Law, summarizing the 2018 General Education Program, developing digital education and artificial intelligence in teaching and learning, promoting skills education, school psychology, or initiatives on happy, safe, and creative schools.
According to Mr. Trieu Ngoc Lam, the quality of works is consistent, the gap between central and local press is narrowed. Many works are authentic, touching, touching, showing the dedication of reporters, and have a high impact in society.
The Editor-in-Chief of Education and Times Newspaper said that compared to previous seasons, the number of participating units has decreased due to the consolidation and merger of press agencies, but the number of articles submitted to participate is still diverse and rich, spanning from North to South.
The quality of local works has also been improved in both content and form, so the number of award-winning works from localities has also increased significantly compared to previous years.

The National Press Award "For the cause of Vietnamese education" is held annually, demonstrating the Ministry of Education and Training's concern for press agencies across the country, because the press has always accompanied the education sector in the innovation process. This is an award with profound social and humanistic significance.
"The success of the Award shows the role of the press in the country's education and training career and the especially important role of education and training in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland," said journalist Trieu Ngoc Lam.
Expressing his opinion, Mr. Le Thanh Kim, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of People's Representative Newspaper, Chairman of the Preliminary Council, said that this year's entries focus on three major groups of issues: Implementation of policies on education and training; typical models; typical examples of teachers, students.
According to Mr. Kim, these are the three main groups of issues that the authors and entries this year clearly reflect. This year, there are many major policies and guidelines for education and training such as: Law on Teachers, extra teaching and learning, tuition exemption; Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW dated August 22, 2025 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development. All four types of journalism clearly reflect the above contents.
Mr. Kim added that journalistic works, even if they are critical, must still be constructive. This year, although there are not many works about negative and critical policies participating in the National Journalism Award for the Cause of Vietnamese Education, there are still some, and some even won awards.
