The official launching ceremony of Phaco No Knife (Phaco Laser) technology organized by Saigon Medical Group and Saigon Eye Hospital System (Saigon Eye) on the afternoon of March 31 had the participation of many leading domestic and international ophthalmology experts.
At the event, Saigon Eye signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Ziemer Group. Accordingly, Ziemer Group is the unit providing Saigon Eye with Femtosecond Laser technology, integrated on the FEMTO LDV Z8 machine system applied in No-Knife Phaco surgery.
With No-Knife Phaco, the process of creating an incision, tearing the anterior lens capsule or fragmenting the cloudy lens is all performed by Laser, helping the surgery to be precise to the micrometer (1/1000 mm), minimizing damage, causing no bleeding and ensuring patient safety. Moreover, this technology allows for astigmatism correction in patients with corneal astigmatism.
Signing of cooperation agreement
This is a special milestone for the Ziemer Group as it has signed a comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement with a medical unit in Vietnam for the first time. However, for Saigon Eye, this is not the first time it has accompanied international partners in applying advanced treatment technology. Previously, Saigon Eye has cooperated with Vista Eye Hospital (Malaysia) - a pioneer in deploying No-Knife Phaco technology in Southeast Asia, organizing experience sharing and in-depth training programs. Through this program, Saigon Eye doctors are updated with modern No-Knife Phaco techniques, contributing to improving the quality of treatment for patients.
Doctors and surgeons of Phaco No Knife are important factors in implementing this technology at Saigon Eye, contributing to the promising results achieved after a period of testing in the Ho Chi Minh City area.
Sharing at the event, Doctor CKII Tang Hong Chau - Director of Saigon Cach Mang Thang Tam Eye Hospital and Professional Director said that with Phaco Khong Dao, patients can be treated for astigmatism in one surgery without having to replace the astigmatism-correcting IOL or have additional laser surgery.

Customers share at the event
Sharing about his experience of restoring his vision with the Phaco No Knife method right at the event, Mr. NAM (48 years old, Ninh Thuan ) was moved: "With vision below 1/10, everything I see is just blurry black shadows. For a person with diabetes, treating cataracts for me is very difficult, but thanks to the encouragement of the doctor, I controlled my blood sugar well and chose to have surgery with Phaco No Knife technology. Only 3 days after surgery, I was able to regain 9/10 vision, after 1 month of re-examination, my vision reached 10/10. The priceless happiness for me is to be able to see life clearly again. I thank the doctor who operated on me. Thank you to the team of doctors at Saigon Eye Hospital for helping patients like me once again light up the windows of the soul".
Representative of Saigon Eye speaks

With the spirit of constantly reaching out, we believe that hundreds of successful cases will be the starting point for a bigger journey, so that more and more patients can not only regain clear vision but also regain faith, joy and enjoy meaningful moments in life" - Mr. Huynh Le Duc - General Director of Saigon Medical Group - shared at the event.
