This agreement affirms the long-term cooperation between the parties to enhance the image and quality of Vietnam's highest club football tournament.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Bui Thai Ha, Vice Chairman of LPBank's Board of Directors emphasized: "With the mission of becoming Loc Phat Bank for every home, LPBank is proud to accompany the top tournaments of Vietnamese sports , including LPBank V.League 1.
This is one of the effective "extensions" to spread positive values and get closer to the people. LPBank has affirmed its role as one of the strongest supporters of national football."
Meanwhile, Mr. Tran Anh Tu, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VPF Company, highly appreciated the strategic vision and appreciated LPBank's contribution to the National Football Championship in the upcoming 2024/25 and 2025/26 seasons.
“With the support of LPBank andFPT Play's strong financial potential and reputation in communications and television, we believe that LPBank V.League 1-2025/26 will continue to be elevated and affirm its position as the highest club tournament in Vietnam,” said Mr. Tran Anh Tu.
Also at the event, the organizing committee officially announced the new brand identity, marking an important step towards improving the image, quality and attractiveness of the number one football tournament in Vietnam.
The new logo has a dominant yellow color, expressing the desire to conquer the peak, inheriting traditional values but at the same time creating a more modern and dynamic appearance.
The 2025/26 season continues to apply many innovations in format, technology and organization, promising to create a competitive, dramatic and emotional playground, thereby contributing to raising the level of Vietnamese football on the regional and continental levels.
LPBank V.League 1-2025/26 will start from August 15, 2025 and end on June 20, 2026, with the participation of 14 professional clubs: Becamex Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi Police, Ho Chi Minh City Police, Dong A Thanh Hoa, Hanoi, Hai Phong, Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Hong Linh Ha Tinh, Ninh Binh, PVF CAND, SHB Da Nang, Song Lam Nghe An, Thep Xanh Nam Dinh and The Cong Viettel.
Teams play a double round robin (home and away) to calculate ranking points, a total of 26 rounds with 182 matches.
The prizes for the top three teams are worth a total of VND9.5 billion, with the champion team receiving a Cup, a gold medal and VND5 billion in prize money; the runner-up team receiving a silver medal and VND3 billion; and the third-place team receiving a bronze medal and VND1.5 billion.
This year’s season is expected to be more exciting thanks to many derby matches rich in regional identity, contributing to increasing competition and attracting audiences. There are also important changes in professional regulations: there will be 2 direct relegation slots instead of 1 direct slot and 1 play-off slot as before; the foreign player slots are adjusted according to AFC standards – clubs participating in continental tournaments can register a maximum of 7 players, other clubs can register a maximum of 4 players (maximum of 3 foreign players on the field).
Another highlight is the increased application of technology in tournament management and operation. VPF has added one more VAR vehicle, bringing the total number to 5 standard vehicles, aiming to “cover” VAR technology comprehensively to ensure fairness and improve professional quality in all matches.
Entering the 4th consecutive season of holding the copyright of national professional football tournaments, the production and broadcasting unit will apply many new technologies to bring the optimal experience to fans. Notably, Dolby sound technology will be integrated to fully reproduce the vibrant atmosphere from the stands to the screen.
Key matches are produced with a standard of 10-12 cameras, including at least 3 specialized sports digisuper tele lenses with focal lengths of 760mm-1100mm, improving image quality to the highest level. Companion Mode is also deployed, allowing viewers to expand the display on a second screen, follow match parameters, vote and interact directly with commentators in real time via live chat on mobile devices.
All matches in LPBank V.League 1-2025/26 will be broadcast live and in full on transmission infrastructures from terrestrial, cable, satellite, IPTV, Internet, mobile, to public screening and social networking platforms. In addition, central and local television stations will also coordinate production and broadcasting to bring the tournament's images to a wide audience.
The new brand identity along with changes in technology, format and professional regulations show that LPBank V.League 1-2025/26 is aiming to not only be the highest football tournament in Vietnam, but also a professional, attractive sports product with strong influence. All these efforts are aimed at serving fans, enhancing the position of Vietnamese football in the international arena, and at the same time building a transparent, modern and sustainable tournament.
