Hue: Ensure compliance with regulations when displaying fireworks at the Ky Dai area

On May 9, the Office of the Hue City People's Committee issued a notice of the conclusion of Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong on the organization of performance programs in the Ky Dai area after a working session with the Hue Monuments Conservation Center and related units on May 8.

The Hue City People's Committee agreed to assign the Hue Monuments Conservation Center to organize a performance of sound and light effects at the Flag Tower area every Saturday evening, ensuring compliance with regulations on security, safety, and fire prevention; and to notify specific information about the time and location to serve the people and tourists in the coming time.

The Hue Monuments Conservation Center needs to seriously learn from experience in organizing the program; ensure security, safety, fire prevention... according to regulations.

The Center urgently coordinates with the Department of Culture and Sports, the Police, the City Military Command, Viet Giang Company and related units to study the legal basis, based on Decree 137/2020/ND-CP on the management and use of fireworks and Decree 56/2023/ND-CP of the Government amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 137/2020/ND-CP to explain and report to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the City People's Committee on the implementation results before May 10.

The Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee assigned the City Police and Military Command to support the Hue Monuments Conservation Center in ensuring security and order, fire prevention and fighting, traffic regulation; support appraisal of the management and use of fireworks... according to regulations.

On May 9, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center announced the temporary suspension of the simulated fireworks display at the Flag Tower.

The center is preparing to rebuild the content script, carefully research technical equipment and other factors to ensure the best conditions for organizing the simulated fireworks display at the Flag Tower every Saturday evening.

Once preparations are completed, the Center will specifically notify the people and visitors of the re-opening date.

Previously, on the evening of May 3, a technical incident occurred during the fireworks display at Hue's Flag Tower, affecting the safety of some residents and tourists watching in the Phu Van Lau area./.
