Hue proposes to establish a scientific council to find a way to fix the broken throne

Hue proposed to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to establish a scientific council of experts to assess the situation and propose a plan to restore the broken Nguyen Dynasty throne.

On May 28, Mr. Phan Thanh Hai, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Hue City, said that the City People's Committee had just sent a document to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism regarding the establishment of a scientific council to find ways to repair the broken Nguyen Dynasty throne.

Accordingly, current regulations do not have specific instructions on establishing a scientific council to assess the status and propose plans to preserve and restore national treasures.

To scientifically and comprehensively assess the situation as well as propose appropriate and effective preservation and renovation plans, Hue City People's Committee requests the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over the establishment of a scientific council or issue a document agreeing to authorize Hue to preside over the establishment of the council.

At the same time, the Ministry also has specific instructions and guidance on the contents to facilitate the implementation process.

Hue City People's Committee plans to invite prestigious in-depth researchers in the field of cultural heritage and representatives of state management agencies and professional units to participate in the council to assess the situation and propose reasonable restoration plans.

According to Mr. Hai, Hue is currently waiting for a response to the above document. If the ministry agrees, Hue will establish a council as soon as possible to carry out the steps to repair the broken national treasure throne.
