Huu Thanh is the first model new rural commune of Tra On district.

On the afternoon of February 7, the Steering Committee of the New Rural Development Program of Huu Thanh Commune (Tra On District) solemnly held a ceremony to announce the commune meeting the model New Rural standards. This is the first model New Rural commune in Tra On District, reaching the finish line by the end of 2024.

Ms. Le Thi Thuy Kieu - Member of Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Provincial People's Council awarded the emulation flag, certificate of recognition for Huu Thanh commune meeting the model new rural standards, and supported welfare works worth 1 billion VND.

Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council - Le Thi Thuy Kieu awarded certificates of merit to outstanding households implementing the emulation movement " Vinh Long joins hands to build new rural areas" in 2024.

The average income per capita of Huu Thanh commune reached 79.21 million VND/year, an increase of 28.59 million VND compared to 2019. The commune built a smart hamlet model in Khu Pho hamlet, with a Zalo channel to disseminate information to people in the hamlet. The community digital technology team disseminated platforms serving the province's digital transformation.

The entire hamlet has 877 people of working age with electronic payment accounts, reaching a rate of 61.1%, exceeding the regulation by 11.1%. Small and medium enterprises and individual business households using digital signatures and electronic invoices reached 20.6%, exceeding the regulation by 0.6%.

The commune installed sports equipment in the campus of the Cultural and Community Learning Center, the Cultural House - Hamlet Sports Area and the Square for people to exercise. In production, the commune built a model of linking the orange product chain with the concentrated production area. The commune has a prominent flower road, attracting visitors with a length of 1,400m. 100% of households and production and business establishments collect and treat waste according to regulations.
