Speaking at the program, District Party Secretary Nguyen Thi Minh Hoang requested Party committees at all levels, authorities, Fatherland Front, and organizations in the district to continue to promote the dissemination and popularization among cadres, party members, and people about the content, purpose, significance, goals, humanity, and benevolence of the implementation of eliminating temporary and dilapidated houses in the district; strengthen the mobilization of organizations, individuals, philanthropists, and people from all walks of life to continue to support and contribute resources to speed up the progress of building and repairing houses for poor households, near-poor households, and households in difficult circumstances, striving to complete before June 30, 2025.

Implement publicly, transparently, promptly, effectively, and legally in receiving, managing, allocating, and using the support and funding sources of the Campaign, absolutely not allowing negativity or waste to occur. The heads of Party committees, authorities, localities, and units must promote the highest responsibility of setting an example, being pioneers, being exemplary, and decisively leading and directing with the spirit of "Cadres and Party members go first, the country follows"; carry out tasks proactively, positively, effectively, creatively, without formality, without waiting or relying on others.

At the program, delegates participated in supporting funding and contributing to the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the locality with the amount of 32,950,000 VND.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh and leaders of Ham Thuan Nam district came to inspect and urge the construction of a new house for the family of Mr. Luong Van Cua and Mrs. Thong Thi Lien (Cham Village, Hiep Nghia village, Tan Thuan commune). This is a household that is subject to the local government's temporary and dilapidated house demolition.

It is known that due to difficult circumstances, 2 years ago, the above mentioned household tried to build a house frame, but due to lack of funds, the construction had to be temporarily suspended. Now, with the support of the local government, the family's new house is gradually being implemented and will be completed soon. To support the family, the District Farmers' Association provided construction materials; the Youth Union and the army supported the workers; the District Women's Union provided food for the construction team.

Through the field inspection, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Minh highly appreciated the way of doing things of Ham Thuan Nam district; at the same time, he suggested that the locality continue to promote and replicate this model.

It is known that after reviewing, Ham Thuan Nam district still has 110 temporary and dilapidated houses (including 7 houses of meritorious people, 57 houses of poor households, 35 houses of near-poor households and 11 houses of other disadvantaged households). After the first 3 months of 2025, the Steering Committee for the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses of the district has directed departments, branches, and the entire political system and people to implement the general policy of the district in supporting the construction and repair of houses for meritorious people, poor households, near-poor households and households with difficulties, contributing to encouraging, motivating and creating motivation for families to gradually improve their lives. As a result, the district has so far built and repaired 13 houses, with a total amount of 1,115 million VND from the gratitude fund, from the contributions and support of collectives, individuals, philanthropists and people in the district; including building 1 new house, repairing 06 houses for people with revolutionary contributions; building 2 new houses for poor households; repairing 1 house for near-poor households and building 2 new houses, repairing 1 house for other disadvantaged households.

Many new houses have been built for poor households, disadvantaged households, and meritorious people in Ham Thuan Nam district.

In particular, up to now, Ham Thuan Nam district has completed ahead of schedule the construction and repair of houses for 7/7 households with meritorious services. The reception, management, allocation and use of support sources and budget support sources are carried out publicly, transparently, promptly, to the right subjects and in accordance with the provisions of law.
