Phu Giao District: Many meaningful humanitarian activities to support people in difficulty

(BDO) To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025) and respond to the Humanitarian Month 2025, on April 27, the Phu Giao District Red Cross Society (RCS) coordinated with the authorities and the Red Cross Society of communes to organize 3 "Zero-VND Market" sessions to support people in difficulty.

People of An Thai commune are supported with many goods at the "Zero Dong Market" session.

Accordingly, in An Thai commune, the "Zero-VND Market" session supported goods and essential necessities for 100 disadvantaged people, with a total value of 50 million VND. In Phuoc Sang commune, 100 people were supported with "Zero-VND Market" with a total value of 30 million VND. In Phuoc Hoa commune, the market session also awarded 130 market vouchers with a total value of 78 million VND.

The resources to carry out the "Zero-VND Market" sessions this time were mobilized and supported by the District Red Cross Association and local authorities; in which the total funding that the District Red Cross Association supported for 3 communes was worth 90 million VND.

Delegates and Mrs. Thuy's family performed the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of the CTĐ house.

* Responding to the program "Joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses nationwide" launched by the Prime Minister , on the same day, the Phu Giao District Red Cross Association organized a groundbreaking ceremony to build a Red Cross house for the family of Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy in Tan Binh Hamlet, An Thai Commune.

Accordingly, the District Red Cross Association supported 80 million VND to build a house for Ms. Thuy's family, helping her family soon have stable housing and more motivation to improve their lives.
