In a recent post on the social media platform Weibo, the Instant Digital account (which frequently leaks information about Apple products) stated that the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max will have an aluminum frame, instead of the titanium frame used in their predecessors.

This source also confirms that the aluminum frame will be very thin, contributing to the ultra-thin bezels of the iPhone 17 Pro Max. In addition, aluminum is lighter than titanium, helping to reduce the overall weight of the device.
Besides aluminum, the lower half of the back panel will still be made of glass. This is to ensure wireless charging functionality on the Pro versions.
For the 2024 iPhone generation, Apple will only use aluminum for the standard iPhone 16 models. Meanwhile, the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature a titanium frame. Currently, the source does not explain why the company is using aluminum on the Pro versions.
Apple is reportedly changing the position of the "bitten apple" logo on the iPhone 17 Pro models. The logo will be moved to the bottom middle of the back panel, just below the camera module.
However, this change will create a problem for users who use cases that support MagSafe wireless charging. Specifically, the MagSafe circle on the case may partially obscure the Apple logo.

In a recent social media post, leaker Majin Bu (who frequently reveals leaked information about Apple products) stated that the company will change the placement of the MagSafe charging port on the iPhone 17 Pro models. This move aims to prevent the Apple logo from being obscured when users use clear cases.
This will be the first time Apple has changed the logo's position on the iPhone since the iPhone 11 series launched in 2020. Since then, the "apple" logo has always been placed in the center of the device's back.
In addition, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are also expected to feature a completely new camera design. Instead of being neatly positioned in the upper left corner as it is currently, the camera module will extend horizontally across the device.
