Isak has attracted particular interest from Liverpool, but the Premier League champions may have to spend at least £125 million to convince Newcastle to let go of the Swedish striker.

The Magpies have made it clear that Isak is not for sale, prompting Liverpool to turn to Eintracht Frankfurt's Hugo Ekitike - who is set to arrive at Anfield for a fee of more than £80m.

Isak's representative - Gonzalo Gaitan in a recent interview with Arriyadiyah newspaper (Saudi Arabia) said:

"We are studying and analysing all options and may be close to finalising the next step for Alexander Isak.

I won't reveal any details about whether Isak moves or stays at Newcastle."

Exclusive sources from talkSPORT confirmed that Isak and his representatives are putting pressure on the club to demand a new contract.

Accordingly, the Swedish striker wants to increase his salary from 120,000 pounds/week to 300,000 pounds/week to commit to a long-term future at St James Park.

The request would disrupt Newcastle's tightly controlled wage structure, leaving Toon Army officials in a difficult position.
