Accordingly, based on the content agreed upon at the meeting on June 19, 2025 between the People's Committee of Quang Tri province and Vietnam Railway Corporation on organizing train operations to serve civil servants and people traveling between Dong Ha - Dong Hoi after the merger of Quang Tri and Quang Binh provinces, the Railway Transport Joint Stock Company reports on the plan to organize train operations to serve civil servants and people traveling between Dong Ha - Dong Hoi.
Specifically, the train will run from July 1st, from Monday to Friday every week, the DH2/DH1 train pair will run from Dong Ha to Dong Hoi and vice versa every day. The train consists of 1 HC+7A64+1CV-PD-9 cars (maximum 448 seats). The DH2 train departs from Dong Ha at 5:30 am and arrives in Dong Hoi at 7:25 am.
Train DH1 departs Dong Hoi at 17:45 and arrives in Dong Ha at 19:45. (The Railway Transport Joint Stock Company will consider running an additional pair of trains between Dong Hoi - Dong Ha when the number of passengers increases).
During the first month of the trial run, the railway industry will organize mass ticket sales for officials, civil servants and passengers through many channels such as: at stations, railway ticket agents; online purchase at the website: www.dsvn.vn; vetau.com.vn; vetauonline.vn.
Apps: VnPay , Momo, Zalopay, Napas, Payoo, ViettelPay, Shopeepay... or on banking applications. Or you can contact Dong Ha station staff (Phone: 0813778383); Dong Hoi station staff (Phone: 0948954056) to buy tickets. Ticket price from Dong Hoi to Dong Ha and vice versa is 105,000 VND/ticket/way.
Passengers purchasing round-trip tickets receive a 25% discount on the return ticket price (VND 184,000/round-trip ticket). The ticket price also applies to social policy beneficiaries.
Discounts for social policy beneficiaries such as: students get 10% off ticket price; seniors (≥ 60 years old) get 15% off ticket price; disabled people, war invalids, sick soldiers get 30% off ticket price; children under 6 years old are free (sharing seats with adults). Children from 6 to 10 years old get 25% off ticket price (with separate seats).
The Railway Transport Joint Stock Company proposes that when organizing train operations between Dong Ha - Dong Hoi from July 1, 2025, the People's Committee of Quang Tri province supports communication work and mobilizes civil servants to use trains.
