Training on guidelines for promulgating community agricultural extension policies

QTO - On November 8 and 9, the National Agricultural Extension Center coordinated with the Provincial Agricultural Extension Center to organize a training course to guide localities in promulgating community agricultural extension policies. Participating in the training course were 40 trainees who were agricultural officers, agricultural extension officers, members of community agricultural extension teams (KNCĐ), cooperatives, and typical farmers in the province.

The training course aims to equip trainees with knowledge and skills to build and operate a KNCĐ team, and at the same time guide them in proposing mechanisms and policies for KNCĐ activities suitable to the practical conditions of each locality.

The training course content focused on topics such as: Concept, characteristics, roles and tasks of KNCĐ; regulations on the operation of KNCĐ teams that have been issued in a number of provinces; sharing experiences in implementing effective KNCĐ models. With participatory training methods, the lecturers combined presentations with illustrations using pictures, specimens, organized group discussions, and encouraged students to actively exchange and share practical experiences.

Within the framework of the program, students also visited the clean mushroom production model of the Tuan Linh Clean Mushroom Production and Agricultural Business Cooperative in Dong Trach commune, one of the bright spots in organizing community-based activities associated with value chain production.

After the course, students will have a firm grasp of the operating regulations, be able to advise on the development and proposal of appropriate KNCĐ policies for the locality, contributing to improving the effectiveness of agricultural extension work and developing sustainable agriculture in the province.
