Speaking at the opening of the conference, Mr. Ho Van Tien, Chairman of Phu Yen Tourism Association, emphasized: In line with the development of Vietnam's tourism industry, especially in the context of the two provinces of Phu Yen and Dak Lak preparing to merge into one, the tourism industry of the two localities must make continuous efforts to turn tourism into a spearhead economic sector. At this conference, leaders of the tourism association and tourism businesses of the two localities discussed and sought optimal solutions for this sustainable development.

At the conference, delegates focused on discussing and contributing many practical ideas between the two localities in the story of connecting and promoting the strengths of each region to create diverse and unique tourism products.

Green tourism and sustainable tourism are becoming a common trend in the world. Phu Yen has a 189km long coastline, many unique beaches, bays, and rocky cliffs, symbolized by the special national monument of Ganh Da Dia, along with many long-standing cultural and historical relics. Meanwhile, Dak Lak has vast coffee forests, majestic waterfalls, and the cultural space of the Central Highlands gongs, a unique intangible cultural heritage of humanity. Both localities have great potential to develop green tourism. More importantly, when Phu Yen and Dak Lak merge into one, the connection to develop the strong resources of "sea - forest" tourism is more urgent than ever.

According to Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak Nguyen Thuy Phuong Hieu, both Phu Yen and Dak Lak have great tourism potential, but if we only develop separately, we are only using half of our strength. When we connect, we not only combine forces, but can double the value. The construction of the "From the blue sea to the great forest" tour connecting Phu Yen - Dak Lak, and the coordination between travel agencies, accommodation services, transportation, communication... will create attractive tourism products in the near future.

“In the coming time, the Tourism Associations of the two localities will quickly develop a merger project, and continue to develop the association's action program in the new context, expand member connections, unite and cooperate to build tourism products combining "sea - forest", attract domestic and provincial visitors, continue to promote, advertise and attract foreign visitors", Ms. Hieu emphasized.

On this occasion, Phu Yen Tourism Association spent two days surveying tourism products and destinations of Dak Lak to soon build tourism products connecting “blue sea with the great forest”. At the same time, the standing committees of the two provinces’ associations held a meeting to discuss and develop a merger project as soon as possible.
