Gathering more than 400 experts and leading doctors from all over the country, the Vinh Duc General Hospital Scientific Conference (Dien Ban Dong Ward) held on August 15-16, became a large-scale and prestigious academic forum in the region.

According to the organizers, this year's conference focuses on two strengths of the hospital: Surgery - Obstetrics and Internal Medicine - Pediatrics, with dozens of in-depth scientific reports. One of the technological highlights is the demonstration surgery, broadcast live from the operating room to the auditorium. This format allows young doctors and delegates to fully follow a surgery from the preparation stage, main operations to handling of arising situations.

In parallel with the conference reports, Vinh Duc General Hospital organized an exhibition of medical achievements over 20 years of operation. About 50 booths from 24 sponsors showcased advanced medical equipment and technology at the exhibition. From new generation imaging diagnostic machines, 3D endoscopic surgery systems, to electronic medical record management software… all opened up opportunities for cooperation and technology transfer between hospitals and domestic and foreign partners.

Mr. Tran Cong An added that technology infrastructure and business cooperation are the keys to helping provincial healthcare keep up with international standards.

This is especially important as hospitals move towards financial autonomy and competition in an open healthcare environment.

Not only a professional forum, the Vinh Duc General Hospital Scientific Conference brings a message about the pioneering role of local medical facilities in improving the quality of medical examination and treatment.
