High passenger volume, railway continues to run additional Thong Nhat trains after Tet

Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company said that although the 2024 Tet passenger transport period ends on February 26, 2024, the demand for travel is still high. Therefore, the railway will run more trains on the North-South route.

Specifically, the additional Thong Nhat TN7 train will run from February 27 to March 2, 2024. The TN7 train departs from Hanoi station at 12:55 and arrives at Saigon station at 3:00. The fare for the round trip ticket ranges from over 1,400,000 - over 1,800,000 VND/ticket/trip depending on the seat type, seat location on the train and the date of travel.

Between Ho Chi Minh City - Nha Trang, train SNT4 will depart from Saigon station on March 6, 2024; train SNT5 will depart from Nha Trang station on March 7, 2024.

This enterprise also said that after Tet, from February 27, the railway will adjust train running times, including daily operation of Thong Nhat trains SE1/2, SE3/4, SE5/6, SE7/8 between Saigon station and Hanoi station.

In the Southern region, Saigon Railway Transport Joint Stock Company organizes the following train pairs: Train pair SE21/22 between Saigon station - Da Nang station, train pair SNT1/2 between Saigon station - Nha Trang station and train SPT1/2 between Saigon station - Phan Thiet station.

At the same time, many promotional programs are applied to reduce ticket prices by up to 30%. Specifically: For Thong Nhat passenger trains SE3/4, SE7/8 (Saigon - Hanoi), apply tickets with a travel distance of over 900km; Train SE21/22 (Saigon - Da Nang) apply tickets with a travel distance of over 600km; Train SNT1/2 (Saigon - Nha Trang) apply tickets with a travel distance of over 300km.

Passengers who buy tickets 5 days or more before departure will receive a 5-30% discount on the ticket price (except for the 4-berth sleeper cabin of trains SE3 and SNT1/2). For train SPT1/2, passengers who buy tickets for the Saigon - Phan Thiet route and buy them 10 days or more before departure will receive a 10% discount on the ticket price (except for the 4-berth sleeper cabin). When exchanging or returning tickets, the deduction is 10-30% of the ticket price.

Passengers buying group tickets with a number of 5 people or more will receive a discount of 2-14% on the ticket price. Passengers buying round-trip tickets will receive a 10% discount on the return ticket price.

The railway still applies discounts for social policy beneficiaries such as Vietnamese heroic mothers, war invalids, people infected with toxic chemicals, people with severe disabilities, the elderly, children, students, union members, and passengers with customer cards.
