Opening of the program Practicing the ritual of worshiping the Saint of Tran Thuong Temple in 2023

Within the framework of the traditional festival of Tran Thuong temple (Tran Hung Dao commune, Ly Nhan district), on the morning of September 30 (ie August 16, Quy Mao year), the People's Committee of Ly Nhan district, the Management Board of the special national relic of Tran Thuong temple coordinated with the Vietnam Cultural Heritage Association to organize the opening ceremony of the program of practicing the ritual of worshiping the Saint of Tran Thuong temple in 2023, on the occasion of the 723rd anniversary of the death of Saint Tran.

More than 50 artisans, temple attendants, incense-bearers, and Taoist priests from temples, shrines, and shrines of 20 provinces and cities across the country attended the program.

Tran Thuong Temple worships the national hero, General Tran Quoc Tuan, his family and generals who contributed to the resistance wars against the Yuan-Mongol army in the 13th century. In 2015, the Temple was recognized as a special national historical and cultural relic.

In addition to being one of the three main places of worship of Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan, the temple also preserves many traditional cultural values of the Mother Goddess worshiping rituals of the Vietnamese people. Practicing the rituals of serving the Saints at this year's Festival helps visitors from all over the world to Ly Nhan - Ha Nam not only admire the sacred and ancient beauty of the special national relic Tran Thuong Temple but also immerse themselves in the melodies of singing and performing Chau Van, imbued with national cultural identity.

The Chau Van literature displayed at Tran Thuong Temple is the Tran Trieu Hien Thanh literature, praising the merits of Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan, the Tu Vi Vuong Tu, Luc Bo Thanh Cong, Nhi Vi Vuong Co... Chau Van singing and dancing here has aroused in people's minds admiration for the saints, love for their homeland and country through traditional singing melodies.

Organizing the program of Practicing the Saint-worshiping ritual right in the spiritual space of Tran Thuong Temple, the Organizing Committee hopes to help people and visitors fully enjoy the performances of artisans, mediums, and Taoist priests through the typical and unique Saint-worshiping mediums. At the same time, it will bring people and visitors a more correct and profound view of the rituals in the Mother Goddess worship of the nation; once again affirming the position and role of this ritual in the life, cultural and spiritual activities of the people.
