On the morning of October 4th, corresponding to the 20th day of the 8th lunar month, the Management Board of Tran Thuong Temple relic site in Tran Hung Dao commune, in coordination with the Department of Culture and Information of Ly Nhan district, solemnly organized a spiritual ceremony and offered incense to commemorate the death anniversary of Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan.

Within the framework of the August festival at Tran Thuong Temple, spiritual rituals, processions, and incense offerings are held on the anniversary of the death of General Tran Quoc Tuan (20th day of the 8th lunar month). These spiritual rituals are a continuation and development of the beliefs of agricultural communities throughout thousands of years of history.

Accordingly, the palanquin carrying the sacred statue was carried by the local people from the communal house to the Tran Thuong temple. Leading the procession was a lion dance troupe, followed by ceremonial objects symbolizing the majesty of Saint Tran, five-colored flags, flags of the four mythical creatures, and a gong and drum ensemble. The procession circled the village before returning to the sacred sanctuary to hold a ceremony of offering incense in remembrance of the death anniversary of Saint Tran.

The August Festival at Tran Thuong Temple is part of the spiritual and cultural tradition of Vietnamese people throughout the country, reflecting the belief that "August is the month to commemorate the Father." In the Mother Goddess worship tradition, Saint Tran is revered as the Father King. The temple dedicated to Saint Tran and his generals served as strategically important military, economic, and political strongholds for many dynasties throughout history. Besides the traditional sacrificial rituals and processions, the festival also features unique ceremonies such as the family ancestral worship and performances honoring the saint, including the rituals of the Tran Dynasty.
Within the framework of the festival, many festive activities were also organized, such as folk games, a chess competition, the 5th "I Love the History of Ly Nhan Homeland" contest, the 4th Ly Nhan District Expanded Chau Van and Hat Van Performance Festival in 2023...
