The Quang Ninh - Can Tho route has been officially operated by Vietjet Air via Van Don International Airport since April 25. To effectively exploit this route, the tourism industry has proactively designed many attractive tour programs, expanded the tourist market as well as built appropriate discount and stimulus packages.

With the new Quang Ninh - Can Tho flight route, in just over 2 hours of flight, people and tourists can easily and conveniently start their journey to explore the Mekong Delta or the World Natural Heritage Ha Long Bay. Flight schedules are designed reasonably and optimally, helping people proactively arrange their work and travel schedules.

Mr. Tran Viet Truong, Chairman of Can Tho City People's Committee, affirmed that the new flight route helps people and tourists easily travel from the capital of the Southwest region to Quang Ninh, the key economic region of the Northeast, home to the World Natural Heritage Ha Long Bay. Meanwhile, Can Tho is a famous Tay Do land for its prosperity, possessing river landscapes, typical gardens and large agricultural areas. The new flight route also facilitates the transportation of goods and fresh seafood from the West to Van Don, Mong Cai International Border Gate (Quang Ninh) and vice versa.

In the coming time, the People's Committee of Can Tho City will continue to work with Quang Ninh Province to discuss solutions to exploit and expand the tourist market to neighboring provinces. At the same time, the two Departments of Culture - Sports and Tourism will coordinate with each other to promote the introduction of Quang Ninh's unique products to tourists and people in Can Tho City in particular and the Mekong Delta in general. Similarly, the People's Committee of Quang Ninh Province will direct the Department of Tourism, the Tourism Association and travel agencies to sell unique tourism products of Can Tho City and neighboring areas. The two localities will continue to direct the relevant authorities to unify the development of a tourism program connecting Quang Ninh with Can Tho City via Van Don International Airport, Quang Ninh and Can Tho International Airport, Can Tho City.

According to Mr. Nguyen Ha Hai, Director of Hongai Tours Quang Ninh, the Quang Ninh - Can Tho route is a highlight for this year's tourist season. Before opening the route, we participated in a tourism promotion program organized by the Provincial People's Committee in Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho and the Southern region. The program helped us easily approach tourism service businesses here, work with partners, and proactively introduce Quang Ninh's tourism products. In the coming time, we plan to introduce and bring Chinese tourists to Can Tho and bring tourists to Phu Quoc, through Can Tho and to Quang Ninh. Specifically, there are many attractive discount incentives for entertainment and resort areas in the North - Central - South regions such as Sun World Ha Long, Sun World Hon Thom, Sun World Ba Na Hills, Premier Village Ha Long Resort, Yoko Onsen Quang Hanh, etc. In the coming time, Van Don International Airport will continue to research and promote with airlines to exploit charter flight packages from Korea, China, Japan to Van Don, creating a premise to exploit international regular routes.
