Opening of Angsana – the first 5-star hotel on the island route of Quang Ninh

On July 13th, in Quan Lan island commune, Van Don district, Viglacera Van Hai Joint Stock Company held the opening ceremony of Angsana Quan Lan Ha Long Bay Hotel – the first international standard 5-star hotel invested in the island routes of Quang Ninh province .

Comrade Cao Tuong Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, delivered a congratulatory speech at the opening ceremony. Also present were comrades: Nguyen Tuong Van, Permanent Deputy Minister of Construction ; and Vi Ngoc Bich, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council.

Leaders from Quang Ninh province, the Ministry of Construction, and the project investor held an opening ceremony for the hotel.

Angsana Quan Lan Ha Long Bay Hotel is a resort complex invested by Viglacera Van Hai Joint Stock Company, built on an area of 35 hectares, with 150 rooms meeting international 5-star standards. The complex also includes 37 villas and a full range of amenities such as: a year-round indoor infinity pool overlooking the sea; the largest outdoor swimming pool in Northern Vietnam with an area of 3,000 m³ designed as an interconnected pool; a rooftop golf practice area; an Onsen mineral bath system; an outdoor party area for over 200 guests; and an adventurous zipline along the beach within the hotel grounds.

The project has a total investment of VND 1,700 billion and is currently managed and operated by Banyan Group (Singapore). This company has experience operating many international 5-star hotel projects in similar geographical locations, such as Maldives, Phuket (Thailand), and Laguna - Lang Co (Thua Thien Hue). Hiring a foreign company to operate and manage the resort aims to provide better service quality and attract a wider range of guests, especially international tourists, through the Angsana brand.

Congratulating Viglacera Van Hai Joint Stock Company and Van Don district, Comrade Cao Tuong Huy, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, affirmed: This is a commendable transformation and action of the enterprise in accompanying the province in changing its development method from "brown" to "green".

Previously, when mentioning Viglacera Joint Stock Company, people knew it as a business in the construction materials sector and industrial park development. However, today, the company has demonstrated a decisive and strong commitment to innovation and transformation in its development model by investing in infrastructure and developing tourism services. The comrade stated that the company's choice of Van Don for tourism investment and development is the right direction. This is because the area is famous for its natural endowments, including bays, mountains, national parks, and a long coastline with fine white sand, clear blue water, and a cool climate year-round, creating a unique natural landscape rarely found elsewhere. Van Don has also been planned and developed into a multi-sectoral, multi-field coastal economic zone, a center for entertainment industry, high-level marine and island tourism, and comprehensive services; a gateway for international trade, creating unique, distinctive, modern, high-quality, branded, and competitive products.

In the provincial planning for the period 2021-2030, with a vision to 2050, Quang Ninh has been identified as a tourism center connecting with the region and internationally, developing tourism into a key economic sector with diverse and unique products, high-quality, world-class services, and high added value. Therefore, the inauguration and operation of Angsana Quan Lan Ha Long Bay Hotel, a new tourism product and the second 5-star hotel in Van Don, targets the high-end tourist segment. This will contribute to growth, boost the local economy, and contribute to the development of the tourism and service industry in the province.

The comrade requested that the investor focus on implementing and completing other components of the project as soon as possible, so that the project can operate synchronously and maintain its aesthetic appeal; and organize operation and exploitation to ensure high-quality services, making it a high-class resort, entertainment, and recreation destination for domestic and international tourists.

The opening of the Angsana Quan Lan Ha Long Bay Hotel on Quan Lan Island has awakened the potential for high-quality island and coastal tourism in Van Don. It is known that in 2024, Van Don plans to launch 14 new tourism products. Along with high-end resort products that fully exploit the potential of the Bai Tu Long Bay area, Van Don district will also leverage its natural advantages to develop eco-tourism, experiential tourism, and cultural tourism products.
