(Dan Tri) - The European Union pavilion at Vietnam Foodexpo 2024 will showcase more than 200 premium products from 27 member countries, honoring Europe's rich agricultural heritage. The event takes place from November 13 to November 16.
Honoring European agricultural products
The European Union Pavilion, located at booths V26-V27 and M1-M16, will offer visitors the opportunity to experience and enjoy a wide variety of European food and beverages.
Through hands-on experiences and live cooking demonstrations, the unit hopes to inspire and provide Vietnamese buyers, retailers and distributors with a comprehensive view of the quality, safety, authenticity and sustainability of European products.
At this exhibition, visitors have the opportunity to participate in many interactive experiences, from product tasting to live cooking demonstrations, games and workshops, led by MC Phung Nguyen.
With their culinary expertise and creative talents, two famous Vietnamese chefs Nguyen Manh Hung (Hungazit) and Hoang Van Duong bring to customers the best culinary performances. The chefs prepare traditional European dishes, uniquely combining European ingredients with Vietnamese flavors.
Leading experts in meat, beverages, dairy, olive oil and confectionery directly share their knowledge and experience at the seminars. Participants have the opportunity to taste the products, understand their quality and their appeal to the Vietnamese market.
The opening ceremony will be chaired by Mr. Julien Guerrier, Ambassador of the European Union to Vietnam, at 11:00 a.m. on November 13 at booths V26-V2V7 and M1-M16.
The European Union expects many Vietnamese businesses to attend the booth opening ceremony, meet directly with EU businesses and representatives of EU member states, to explore the market and potential cooperation opportunities.
Register here to attend the grand opening until 23:59 on November 8.

Ensuring quality and sustainability
The EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA), which came into effect on 1 August 2020, has opened the door for high-quality European agricultural products to enter the Vietnamese market. The agreement protects 169 European Geographical Indications (GIs), promoting high-quality EU products and ensuring their authenticity in Vietnam. The agreement contributes to strengthening the economic cooperation between Vietnam and Europe, while boosting Vietnamese consumers’ demand for high-quality European products.
The EU pavilion will highlight its commitment to supporting European farmers and producers through European quality certifications such as Geographical Indications (GI) and organic certification. Protected Geographical Indications (PGI) and Protected Designations of Origin (PDO) protect products that are deeply linked to specific regions and production methods. The EU organic logo also provides a unified visual identity for organic products, making them easily recognisable and ensuring high standards of quality and sustainability.

European quality certifications: PDO, PGI, organic.
