Mr. Chau Ngo Anh Nhan, Director of Khanh Hoa Province Department of Finance, said that in the new context after administrative unit restructuring, Khanh Hoa province is proactively innovating its investment attraction strategy in a selective manner, linked to planning and orientation for sustainable socio -economic development.
Khanh Hoa province clearly identifies priority areas for investment attraction as those with competitive advantages, long-term development potential, and in line with the trend of green transformation and digital transformation.
Specifically, Khanh Hoa focuses on attracting investment in developing modern technical infrastructure, especially energy infrastructure, including renewable energy projects such as solar power, wind power, biomass power, power transmission and energy storage technology, to realize the goal of becoming a national energy center and clean energy.
In addition, the province focuses on industrial sectors with high technology content, high added value and environmental friendliness. These are industries such as processing - manufacturing industry, semiconductor chip production, new material technology, artificial intelligence (AI), data centers, along with green industry development - NetZero according to international standards.
In the agricultural sector, Khanh Hoa province calls for investment in high-tech agriculture, organic agriculture, smart agriculture, associated with modern processing, preservation and consumption chains of products.
One area that the province gives special priority to is sustainable, high-quality tourism. With advantages in natural landscapes, islands and unique culture, Khanh Hoa province aims to attract investment in planned tourist areas and destinations, unique tourism products, high-end experiences, while developing regional-industry connectivity infrastructure, improving service quality and creating a linked tourism value chain.
Meanwhile, the marine economy and coastal urban development are also the focus, with projects on seaports, logistics, maritime services, high-tech aquaculture and smart, green, modern urban development associated with climate change adaptation.
In addition, Khanh Hoa province is expanding investment attraction into new economic sectors and innovation, such as hydrogen, circular economy, digital economy, environmental technology, to anticipate trends and create a strong innovation ecosystem.
The linkage between FDI enterprises and domestic enterprises, forming a global supply chain is also a consistent orientation to create spillover and enhance the internal capacity of the local economy.
“With a well-planned strategy, clear direction and an increasingly open investment environment, Khanh Hoa is expected to become an attractive destination for domestic and foreign investors, playing the role of a new growth engine for the South Central Coast region and the whole country,” Mr. Nhan believes.
