Mr. Dinh Van Hoc, Secretary of the Youth Union of Son Lien Commune (Son Tay District), is known as a responsible, dynamic, and enthusiastic youth union official with many creative ideas that promote the development of the local youth union movement. Mr. Hoc, along with the Executive Committee of the Commune Youth Union, organizes many volunteer activities, acts of gratitude, and support for poor students; he collaborates with commune associations and organizations to maintain the "Meals for Children" model to support lunch for disadvantaged children in three villages within the commune. In addition, Mr. Hoc mobilizes funds to implement the "Adopted Children of the Youth Union" model, supporting six disadvantaged and orphaned students with better learning conditions (500,000 VND/student/quarter). At the same time, the Commune Youth Union maintains activities such as "Volunteer Saturdays" and "Green Sundays," with many meaningful activities such as working together to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households, and environmental protection activities.
According to Mr. Hoc, in the current period, every young person must identify their responsibility to take the lead in contributing their youthful energy to meaningful tasks in building their homeland and country. "For mountainous areas and remote regions – where the percentage of poor and disadvantaged households is high – the role of young people must be even more clearly demonstrated. Therefore, not only do I set a good example in economic development, but I also strive to guide young people in developing livestock and crop farming models to alleviate poverty," Mr. Hoc said.

Dr. Tran Ngoc An, Deputy Head of the Provincial Young Doctors Club and Secretary of the Youth Union of the Provincial Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, is also involved in many activities supporting healthcare for the people, especially poor patients in mountainous areas. Dr. An believes that as a young person, he must always promote creativity, dedicate himself, and strive in his professional work to contribute to building his homeland through practical actions. In his role as Secretary of the Youth Union of the Provincial Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital, Dr. An conducts an average of 2-3 free medical examination and treatment sessions annually for people in disadvantaged areas of the province. In 2024 alone, Dr. An conducted charitable medical examinations and treatments in Son Tay, Tra Bong, and Ly Son districts, providing free medicine to hundreds of poor patients. Every year, Dr. An and the Provincial Young Doctors Club conduct 3-4 charitable medical examination sessions and donate gifts to underprivileged child patients receiving treatment at the Provincial Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital.
Mr. An shared that, as the country enters the era of national progress, every young person today must define their role and responsibility in the face of the nation's new opportunities. Each young person must have ideals, aspirations, courage, and a spirit of innovation and creativity, with the motto "think big - dare to act." The pioneering mission demands that each young person strive to learn and train themselves to contribute more to the community and society, helping to build a prosperous nation.
To commemorate the 94th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the youth of Quang Ngai province have carried out many meaningful activities such as organizing social welfare activities, showing gratitude to those who sacrificed for the nation; journeys to historical sites; organizing the "Children's Fun and Healthy Day - Advancing Towards the Youth Union"; building 15 "Red Scarf" houses; 10 children's playgrounds, 20 reading spaces… Through these activities, the youth have demonstrated their pioneering and volunteer spirit. This is also an opportunity for young people to cultivate patriotism and a desire to contribute.
