Students of class 12A13, Hoang Mai High School (Nghe An) posted a video recording the moment when teacher Van Duc Minh (62 years old, Biology teacher) wiped away tears during the last teaching session of his "chalk-holding career", causing a storm on the internet.

"I was very moved when I heard the students sing that day. That was the last class I taught for class 12A13, and also the last class of my teaching career. The class lasted 45 minutes, and I used that time to talk to the students," said Mr. Van Duc Minh.

Mr. Minh has been teaching at Hoang Mai High School since 2007. On August 1, he will retire according to the policy. " I cannot stay any longer because I am afraid that the students will see me crying. When the bell rings to end class, I will leave immediately," Mr. Minh confided.

In the class yearbook, the teacher expressed his feelings when saying goodbye to the class with many memories and wished his students good health, peace, and all the best in life. The teacher shared that saying goodbye to the students was sad, emotional, and had many feelings but it was difficult to put them into words.

Vu Linh Chi (Secretary of the Youth Union 12A13) said that day was the last class of the class and of the teacher before he retired. Because of those special things, during this lesson, the whole class begged the teacher to write commemorative lines in the notebook prepared by the class, then sang the song Chalk Dust for the teacher. Both the teacher and the students were very emotional, some cried, some held back their tears. That was also the first time the class saw the teacher cry like that.

Before working with the teacher, the whole class 12A13 was worried because of the "rumor" that Mr. Minh was difficult and strict. After a year, the students realized that his presence was fortunate. "Although he is a bit strict, he is also very humorous and cute. In particular, he always knows how to inspire students' interest in learning. From feeling bored with Biology, we look forward to his lessons," Chi said.

The clip is only 30 seconds long, but the moment the teacher repeatedly wiped away his tears was shared "dizzily" on social networks. Many people expressed their emotions at the warm affection between teachers and students from Nghe An.
