Groundbreaking ceremony of 2 inter-level boarding schools in Ha Tinh border area

On the morning of November 9, together with localities across the country, Ha Tinh organized the groundbreaking ceremony for two projects: Son Kim 1 Primary and Secondary Boarding School (Son Kim 1 Commune) and Huong Khe Primary and Secondary Boarding School (Huong Khe Commune). These are two of 100 projects approved by the Government for investment in the 2025-2026 period, marking an important first step in the program to develop a network of schools in border areas.

At the Son Kim 1 commune bridge, the ceremony was attended by Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh , Minister of Justice Nguyen Hai Ninh, Deputy Minister of Finance Le Tan Can, and Deputy Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions Nong Thi Ha.

On the side of Ha Tinh province, there were Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Duy Lam, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai, members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee Duong Tat Thang, Tran Nhat Tan, Nguyen Trong Hieu, Tran Viet Ha; Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Thi Viet Ha, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Nguyet and leaders of departments, branches and localities.

At the Huong Khe commune bridge, there were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee - Chairman of the Provincial People's Council Nguyen Hong Linh , Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Bao Ha and Ho Huy Thanh , with leaders of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, departments, branches and local authorities.

The two projects that were simultaneously started are both part of the first phase investment portfolio of the 248 inter-level boarding schools program for land border communes, approved by the Government. These schools are built according to the "model school" model . both ensuring modern facilities and being a model in educational organization, management and operation.

The Son Kim 1 Boarding School project has a total investment of more than 140 billion VND, with a scale of 40 classrooms and about 1,330 students. The school includes a learning area, an administrative area, a 60-room boarding area, a multi-function house, a dining room, an indoor swimming pool, a medical room, trees and synchronous technical infrastructure on an area of 4.5 hectares. The project will be implemented in phase 2025. - 2026, completed before August 30, 2026, in time for the new school year 2026 - 2027.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Nguyet affirmed: "Through many stages of development, the Party Committee and People of Ha Tinh have always identified border education as a top priority task, because this place is both a school of knowledge and a fortress of the people's hearts." The Vice Chairwoman emphasized that the Son Kim 1 project, when completed, will be a "bridge of knowledge", contributing to improving people's knowledge, developing human resources in border areas, and strengthening national defense. - security and promote local socio-economic development.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested the Project Management Board, construction and supervision units to ensure quality, progress and safety; considering this a model project, leading to other projects in the area. The People's Committee of Son Kim 1 commune needs to do a good job of site clearance and coordinate closely so that the project can be completed on schedule.

At Huong Khe bridge point, the Huong Khe Inter-level Boarding School project has a total investment of about 154 billion VND, a scale of 35 classrooms, 1,209 students, built on an area of over 5 hectares. When completed, the project will meet the learning and living needs of children in the border area, contributing to narrowing the gap between the mountainous and lowland areas.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Bao Ha emphasized that this is a key project, with leading significance, demonstrating Ha Tinh's determination in bringing the Politburo's policy into life. The Vice Chairman requested the investor to select reputable contractors and supervisors, and implement it scientifically to ensure progress and quality , and at the same time requested departments and branches to coordinate with the Ministry of Education and Training and the Ministry of Finance in allocating capital, completing procedures, and preparing conditions for the inauguration of the project before the 2026-2027 school year.
