Nghe An: Simultaneously started construction of 9 inter-level schools in border communes

This is a step to concretize the Conclusion Notice No. 81-TB/TW dated July 18, 2025 of the Politburo on investing in the construction of boarding and semi-boarding schools in disadvantaged areas, contributing to ensuring social security and sustainable development of the region. national border .

Hanh Lam Primary and Secondary Boarding School is one of 10 schools invested in construction in 2025 in Nghe An. After completion and put into use, the school will have a scale of about 70 classes, serving more than 2,500 students. The land is located in the center of the commune, with an area of ​​about 10 hectares, convenient for travel and long-term development.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Hong Vinh - Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee emphasized that the construction of a system of inter-level boarding schools in the border area not only helps students study and train in a better environment but is also an "investment for the future", contributing to strengthening the knowledge foundation and patriotism of the young generation in the border area.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province expressed his belief that with the strong direction of Party committees at all levels, the synchronous participation of the entire political system, the efforts of localities, departments, branches, construction units and the consensus of ethnic minorities in the border highlands, Hanh Lam Primary and Secondary Boarding School and 8 schools that will start construction today in the province will be completed on schedule, ensuring the highest quality.

Nghe An currently has 21 border communes with 94 schools at all levels, serving more than 39,000 students and nearly 1,800 teachers. According to the plan, 21 border communes will be invested in building 21 inter-level boarding schools with a total budget of more than VND5,000 billion. Of which, the Prime Minister has decided to allocate more than VND681 billion for Nghe An to build 9 schools in 2025.

Previously, the Na Ngoi Boarding School (Nghe An), invested by Sun Group, started construction on October 11, 2025. The remaining nine schools were started in the communes of Hanh Lam, Keng Du, Bac Ly, Nhon Mai, Tam Thai, Mon Son, Que Phong and Tri Le. Of which, Hanh Lam Boarding School is the main bridge, connecting with the central bridge at Muong Khuong Boarding School (Thanh Hoa province).

On November 3, the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee met to listen to a report on the implementation of the Politburo's Conclusion on the policy of building inter-level primary and secondary boarding schools in the mainland border communes.

Nghe An Provincial Party Committee requested the Provincial People's Committee and relevant sectors to urgently complete the dossier, determine the specific location and construction area, ensure absolute safety and synchronous technical infrastructure such as roads, electricity, and water. All 10 projects are expected to be completed before August 30, 2026, in time for the new school year, bringing a new look to education in the border area of ​​Nghe An.

On this occasion, representatives of the central ministries, branches and Nghe An province presented 15 gifts to primary school students and 15 students of Hanh Lam and Thanh Duc who have difficult circumstances and have made great achievements in their studies.
