On April 19, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province held a launching ceremony for the Chua Chan mountain eco-tourism and entertainment resort project in Xuan Loc district (Dong Nai).
Chua Chan Mountain was ranked as a national scenic relic in 2012.

The launching ceremony aims to introduce the potential and advantages of eco-tourism, resort and entertainment at Chua Chan Mountain; at the same time, prepare resources well and call for investors interested in the project; soon form a large, classy and high-quality eco-tourism area of Dong Nai province.
Previously, in order to develop Chua Chan Mountain and Nui Le Lake (both in Xuan Loc District) into attractive tourist destinations, Dong Nai called for investment in a 1,342-hectare urban - service - tourism chain here.
Particularly in Chua Chan mountain area, Dong Nai plans to form this place into a residential, sports and resort area with a scale of about 275 hectares, with a golf course of about 100 hectares.
In March 2025, the People's Committee of Dong Nai province approved the adjustment of the master plan for the preservation, restoration, and embellishment of the Chua Chan mountain scenic relic until 2030. According to the decision, the scope of the study to adjust the relic planning is more than 1,700 hectares located in 5 administrative units, including Xuan Tho, Xuan Truong, Xuan Hiep, Suoi Cat communes and Gia Ray town (Xuan Loc district). In particular, the Chua Chan mountain tourism, ecological and resort project group has a total investment of about 18,000 billion VND.
Currently, Dong Nai is completing related procedures such as establishing an investment policy; building a sustainable forest tourism development plan and a project for eco-tourism, resort and entertainment in the Chua Chan mountain area; establishing a functional zoning plan for the Chua Chan mountain area; converting forest land purposes to other land purposes and a list of land recovery to implement the project and researching and establishing a plan for auctioning land use rights to implement the project according to regulations.
Chua Chan Mountain, also known as Gia Lao or Gia Ray, is 837m high and is the second highest mountain in the South (after Ba Den Mountain in Tay Ninh). It has been ranked as a national scenic relic by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism since 2012.
