Nanny prosecuted for beating baby girl in Tien Giang

On April 17, information from the People's Procuracy of Tan Phuoc district, Tien Giang province, said that it had approved the decision to prosecute and release on bail Nguyen Thi Huynh Tuyen (26 years old, residing in Tan Lap 1 commune, Tan Phuoc district) to investigate the act of "torturing others".

As reported by Tuoi Tre Online , a video was circulated on social media showing child abuse at a daycare facility in Tan Lap 1 Commune, Tan Phuoc District, Tien Giang Province. The woman, believed to be a nanny at the facility, repeatedly hit a 2-year-old girl in the face and head.

According to the initial investigation, on April 1, Tan Lap 1 Commune Police received a report from Ms. DTK (31 years old, from Dak Nong, temporarily residing in Tan Lap 1 Commune) about her daughter being beaten at a spontaneous daycare center.

On the morning of March 31, Ms. K. took her child, N. (2 years old), to a spontaneous daycare center in Tan Lap 1 commune. After that, Ms. K. went to work.

At around 3:30 p.m. the same day, Ms. K. watched the camera and discovered that her child was being beaten by the babysitter, Nguyen Thi Huynh Tuyen.

Then Ms. K. went to the daycare center to pick up her child and take her home for a check-up. As a result, baby N. had a slight swelling in the head area, but is currently in good health.

During the interview with the police, Tuyen admitted to all of her actions. Tuyen said that she was lying down looking at her phone and was momentarily angry, so she hit the child.
