Economic growth, rural appearance improves

Yen Phu commune was established from the communes of Yen Tam, Yen Phu and Thong Nhat town. Promoting the revolutionary tradition, the spirit of solidarity, dynamism, creativity, and seizing opportunities, in the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committees of the old communes have made great efforts to effectively implement key programs, breakthroughs, and complete many targets set by the Resolution of the Commune Party Congress.

The outstanding mark of the past term is that the old communes have promoted their internal strength, taken advantage of the attention of the Party Committee, the superior authorities, the provincial departments and branches to implement many key programs, key breakthroughs with results, including the implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Construction associated with urban development. The program has really changed the face of Yen Phu countryside with bright - green - clean - beautiful works, infrastructure, landscapes, modern and spacious model residential areas, contributing to building a livable countryside. In that roadmap, Thong Nhat town has met civilized urban standards, 2 communes have been recognized as new rural communes, 8 villages have been recognized as model new rural areas and 1 neighborhood has been recognized as meeting civilized urban criteria; the locality has 5 3-star OCOP products.

In the period of 2021-2025, Yen Phu commune has coordinated and done well in land use planning for 6 industrial clusters with a total area of 85.6 hectares, and established and adjusted the general planning of Thong Nhat town. The total capital mobilized and used for development investment in the area is estimated at 945,211 billion VND, investing in the construction of 105 works from the State budget with main traffic routes of old communes connecting with intra-regional traffic routes, national highways, provincial roads; dyke system, irrigation works serving production, people's lives and flood and storm prevention, VietGAP fruit growing area works; medical and educational works...

The commune has promoted administrative procedure reform, improved the investment and business environment and attracted 5 projects, established 39 new enterprises, exceeding 125% of the assigned plan, bringing the total number of enterprises in the commune to 56.

Commune leaders visited the mushroom production facility of Mr. Trinh Quang Ngoc's household in Trinh Loc village, whose lingzhi tea and white fungus products were recognized as 3-star OCOP products.

As a locality with strengths and favorable conditions for agricultural production, Yen Phu commune has planned concentrated production areas associated with product branding, such as: 3 chili growing areas, 1 fruit growing area with a growing area code, 3 models of production and consumption chain linking agricultural products, many large-scale industrial livestock areas, applying high technology. Many key agricultural products such as pineapple, sugarcane, aquaculture, pig farming... are maintained; many new models with high economic efficiency are propagated and developed.

Social security work is focused on; culture and society have many progressive changes; national defense, security, and social order and safety are ensured; Party and government building work is increasingly strong; people trust the Party's leadership and the government's management.

New impulse, creating resilience and aspiration to rise up

The merger of administrative units has created a large new space, along with other resources and favorable conditions and inherited the achievements in new rural construction, key programs, breakthroughs, especially the strength of solidarity within the Party, consensus among the People... for Yen Phu commune to effectively exploit its potential, advantages, and make a breakthrough.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Tung, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Commune People's Council, said: The revolution of streamlining the organizational apparatus, political system, developing science and technology, innovation and digital transformation is a new opportunity for Yen Phu commune to develop strongly and sustainably. Key projects, attracting investment, essential infrastructure works with high regional connectivity... are forecast to create many opportunities and potentials for the commune to exploit, promoting comprehensive and sustainable socio-economic development. The commune will take advantage of new opportunities and chances, turning difficulties and challenges into favorable conditions for development. The Commune Party Committee clearly identifies the decisive factor as personnel work. Therefore, each cadre, each party member, especially the role and responsibility of the head of Yen Phu commune, must set an example, well implement the administrative management motto of "modern, civilized", "full-fledged, well-versed", become a "multi-tasker", both managing the administration and understanding the people's lives, knowing how to connect policies, contributing to development; have innovative, creative, dynamic thinking, dare to speak, dare to do, dare to take responsibility for a new future: Building a commune that develops quickly and sustainably, becoming an advanced new-style rural commune by 2030.

With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Responsibility - Development", in the 2025-2030 term, the Commune Party Committee sets out 11 economic targets, 9 socio-cultural targets, 3 environmental targets, 1 security and order target, 2 Party building targets, 5 key tasks and 3 breakthroughs. Among them, there are a number of key targets to be implemented, such as: the average growth rate of total product value in the commune in the period of 2026-2030 is 11% or more. Average income per capita in 2030 is 110 million VND or more. The area of agricultural land accumulated, focusing on large-scale agricultural production, applying high technology in the period of 2026-2030 is 180 hectares or more. Strive to admit 250 or more party members, and have 90% or more of grassroots party organizations successfully complete their annual tasks.

To implement the above targets, key tasks and breakthroughs, the Yen Phu Commune Party Committee has proposed solutions for each target and task. Prioritizing breakthrough solutions, focusing on each field. That is, continuing to promote the tradition of solidarity, taking solidarity within the Party as the basis and foundation for building a great national solidarity bloc, taking the effectiveness of government operations and public service ethics as a measure of cadre capacity. Promoting administrative reform associated with digital transformation to create breakthroughs in all aspects. Speeding up the progress of site clearance to implement projects, improving the investment and business environment. Prioritizing solving urgent problems arising right at the grassroots level.

Focus on leading economic development, focusing on effectively implementing Resolution No. 13-NQ/TU of the Provincial Party Committee (18th term), Resolution No. 68-NQ/TW for the period 2026-2030. Pay attention to developing green agriculture, building specialized areas associated with key products, typical of the locality, striving for the period 2026-2030, the whole commune will have 8 OCOP products with 3 stars or more, of which 1 product has 4 stars.

With the results achieved, the lessons learned from previous terms, along with historical and cultural traditions and solidarity, the Party Committee of Yen Phu commune is determined to build the commune into a truly livable, friendly and safe countryside; striving to become an advanced new-style rural commune before 2030.
