Around the morning of November 4, a strong cold air mass strengthened in the North; from night Hanoi turned cold with the lowest temperature of 18-20 degrees.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, currently (November 3), the cold air mass is continuing to move south.
Around tomorrow morning (November 4), this cold air will affect the Northeast; then the North Central, most places in the Northwest and some places in the Central Central. The Northeast wind inland will gradually strengthen to level 3, coastal areas level 4.
From tomorrow, the weather will turn cold in the mountainous and midland areas of the Northeast, and cold in the Northern Delta. Notably, from November 5-6, the weather will be cold in the Northern and North Central regions. The lowest temperature during this cold spell in the North and North Central regions will generally be from 17-19 degrees Celsius, and in mountainous areas, below 15 degrees Celsius.
In Hanoi area, tomorrow day and night there will be rain and showers; during the day it will be cold with the highest temperature of 21-23 degrees, tomorrow night it will turn cold with the lowest temperature of 18-20 degrees.
Due to the influence of disturbances in the upper easterly wind zone combined with strengthening cold air, from early tomorrow morning in the area from Thanh Hoa to Quang Ngai there will be widespread heavy rain and thunderstorms; in the Northeast there will be scattered rain, showers and thunderstorms, locally heavy rain in some places, increasing the feeling of cold.
The Steering Committee for Flood and Storm Prevention and Control of Thua Thien Hue province also forecasted that from the evening of November 3 to 9, there will be heavy rain and very heavy rain in this locality. The total rainfall for the entire period will range from 500-850mm, with some places reaching over 1,000mm. At the same time, the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province also issued a telegram on proactively preventing and responding to floods and landslides in the province.
In addition, from tonight, in the Gulf of Tonkin, the Northeast wind will gradually increase to level 6, gusting to level 7-8; rough seas; waves from 2-4m high. In the North East Sea, the Northeast wind will gradually increase to level 6-7, gusting to level 8-9; rough seas; waves from 4-6m high.
