Tuyen Lam Lake Tourist Area is located 5 km from Da Lat city and started operating since January 1, 2004. With an area of 2,900 hectares, Tuyen Lam Lake Tourist Area currently has 10/36 projects implemented and put into use such as Edensee Resort, Datanla Waterfall Tourist Area, 18-hole Tuyen Lam Golf Course, Sacom Luxury Resort, Clay Sculpture Tunnel, Terracotta Dalat Resort, K'Lan Eco-tourism Site, Binh An Village Tourist Site, Truc Lam Zen Monastery Religious Tourist Site, Thanh Quang Orchid Garden.
With the orientation of developing a tourist area worthy of an international destination with key tourism products including: Resort, ecology, tourism, sports , high-tech entertainment, suitable supporting cultural tourism products, cultural - historical - sports events typical of the Central Highlands region; is the leading important destination of the Central Highlands region in general, Lam Dong province in particular. Along with the formation of a mixed tourism area, harmoniously combining cultural identity; eco-tourism, resort, high-class entertainment is the main type of sustainable development in the direction of green growth, focusing on preserving and embellishing natural elements, protecting water resources and forest environment, protecting biodiversity of the area, promoting the values of terrain space, forest landscape, water surface and lakeside areas, the values of historical relics and ethnic cultural identities to form key, unique tourism products, creating its own brand. Having a synchronous technical infrastructure system, serving high-quality tourism services, ensuring harmony with the natural environment and landscape in each area. Organizing a system of centers suitable for the development of tourist areas and functional areas; Identify architectural areas, landscapes, main spatial axes, square systems, gateway areas, key works of the functional area and use advanced technologies, green technologies, green environment, avoid major impacts on the environment during implementation and operation. Construct, identify locations of helipads, determine locations of main gates, secondary gates, marinas, architectural and construction indicators, maximum total construction density of the entire area; appropriate height for works and key points and land use in functional areas of tourism, accommodation areas, service works, social infrastructure and civil land, non-civil land; indicators on traffic, water supply, electricity supply and wastewater drainage, environmental sanitation are specified for each phase. In July 2023, Tuyen Lam Lake National Tourist Area was honored by UNESCO as "Asia- Pacific Typical Tourist Area", this is also the first place in Vietnam to be honored with the above title.
