Kia Seltos 2026 revealed - bigger and more spacious, first hybrid version

The new generation Kia Seltos 2026 SUV will increase in size to provide more spacious cabin space and larger trunk space than the current version.

Kia is reportedly developing a new generation Seltos, an urban SUV that is very popular in many markets. According to sources, the car will be launched globally in November this year.

Compared to the current version, the new Seltos will be at least 100 mm longer, reaching a total length of 4,465 mm, becoming the longest SUV in the segment - surpassing the Jeep Compass (4,395 mm) as well as rivals Hyundai Creta (4,330 mm) and Maruti Grand Vitara (4,345 mm).

Thanks to that, the wheelbase and passenger compartment of the new generation Kia Seltos will be more spacious, while the luggage compartment capacity is also improved compared to the current generation.

Test images reveal a redesigned interior with a new dashboard and upholstery. The exterior is inspired by the Syros and EV9 SUVs, retaining the square shape and adopting the “Opposites United” design language.

The car is equipped with 18-inch alloy wheels, redesigned grille and fog lamp housing. In terms of operation, the new generation Seltos still maintains the engine options of 1.5L naturally aspirated (113 horsepower), 1.5L turbocharged (158 horsepower).

There is also a 1.5L diesel engine (114 horsepower). What is new is the appearance of a hybrid variant - expected to combine the 1.5L MPi petrol engine with a hybrid system for high-end versions. The hybrid version may be launched a few months after the internal combustion engine version.

Manual and automatic transmissions are expected to remain the same. Safety features include six airbags, four-wheel disc brakes, electronic stability control, hill-start assist, reverse sensors, and automatic door locking/unlocking in the event of a collision.

In terms of interior, the 2026 Kia Seltos will likely be equipped with a 30-inch Trinity Display dual screen like the Syros, including two 12.3-inch screens for the infotainment system and a digital clock cluster similar to the Hyundai Palisade but with the addition of a 5-inch touch screen in the air-conditioning control center.

Other amenities are expected to include ventilated front and rear seats, six standard airbags, a premium Bose audio system, front/rear armrests, rear air-conditioning vents, and ambient lighting. The 2026 Kia Seltos is expected to launch later this year or early 2026.
