Regarding the case of CP Vietnam stores being accused of smuggling diseased pork into the market, on the evening of June 2, the Department of Agriculture and Environment of Soc Trang province announced that it had inspected 4/4 CP Fresh Shop stores in the province.

Accordingly, at the time of inspecting the business locations of CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company - Can Tho Branch in Soc Trang province, the interdisciplinary inspection team "did not discover any business establishments selling diseased pig and chicken products with foul odors or expired products".

However, "The food safety certificates of 3/4 establishments, including: business location No. 12, business location No. 21, business location No. 8 (of CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company - Branch in Can Tho ) have expired.

At the same time, the establishments have not yet presented the original Certificate of Business Location Registration (3 establishments) and the Certificate of Food Safety Training of the establishment owner and sales staff in accordance with legal regulations (4 establishments).

The Department of Agriculture and Environment of Soc Trang province said that the incident is affecting the psychology of people inside and outside the province, greatly affecting business activities, commodity prices, agricultural, forestry and fishery markets and livestock farming activities in the province.
