Attending the ceremony were Mr. Nguyen Van Phu - General Secretary of VFF, representatives of the Competition Organization Department, Referee Management Department, representatives of the Referee Board members, along with match supervisors, referee supervisors, referees and assistant referees.
Speaking on behalf of the VFF leadership at the opening ceremony, General Secretary Nguyen Van Phu sent his greetings to all supervisors and referees attending the training course, and emphasized the efforts and positive results of the non-professional football system in 2025. Mr. Nguyen Van Phu said: "Entering 2026, Vietnamese football continues to face many important tasks. Plans for the new season have been implemented, in which the supervisor and referee training course is a key opening activity."

Secretary General Nguyen Van Phu also assigned specific tasks to the supervisory team, referees, instructors and the class's organizing committee, requiring all training participants to uphold their sense of responsibility to better meet the professional requirements of the 2026 season.
Supervisors and referees updated with regulations, pre-season fitness tests
According to the plan, the training program will take place from December 7 to December 11. This year, the class will have the participation of 38 match supervisors, 15 referee supervisors, 28 referees and 35 assistant referees. While the referee force has started training since December 7, December 9 is the first working day for the match supervisors.

During the 5-day training session, trainees will be updated and systematized in competition rules; discussed and learned from the 2025 season; exchanged expertise through real-life situations; and grasped the plan to organize national non-professional football tournaments and adjustments in the tournament regulations and rules in 2026. An important part of the training session - the physical fitness test of referees and assistant referees - will be conducted on the morning of December 11.
Immediately after completing the training program, qualified supervisors and referees will be assigned to work in non-professional tournaments in 2026. The first tournament in the system, the 2024-2025 national U.19 qualifying round, will kick off on December 14 in the host localities.
