Kien Giang wants to welcome more than 10 million visitors by 2025

Kien Giang sets a goal of welcoming 10.7 million tourists by 2025 and total tourism revenue reaching VND38,000 billion.

Kien Giang province will restructure the tourism industry to meet the development requirements of the local spearhead economic sector. The province's goal is to welcome 10.7 million tourists by 2025.

Of which, international visitors will reach 900,000, total revenue from tourists will reach 38,000 billion VND, contributing more than 13% of the province's GRDP, and at the same time creating direct jobs for 38,600 workers.

In addition, the province's goal by 2030 is to welcome 23.6 million visitors, including 1.66 million international visitors and tourism revenue of VND105,000 billion.

To achieve the set goals, the province is restructuring the tourism industry to match the national development trend, anticipate the shift in international investment flows and create a comprehensive breakthrough.

In addition, Kien Giang also focuses on restructuring the market, increasing the proportion of European tourists, making the Southeast Asian tourist market a key market, exploiting Chinese and Korean tourists and at the same time exploiting new markets from India and the Middle East.

The province also focuses on exploiting visitors from Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, Nha Trang... while expanding the tourist market in the Central Highlands, focusing on developing links with Da Lat (Lam Dong), increasing flights from Lam Dong - Phu Quoc and vice versa.

Not only that, Kien Giang also continues to create unique tourism products and focus on developing resort tourism in the forest, adventure sports, scientific research, learning about biodiversity, experiencing wildlife...

With its unique strength of many attractive destinations, attracting domestic and foreign tourists such as: Phu Quoc Island, Rach Gia, Nam Du archipelago, Ha Tien, U Minh Thuong National Park... Kien Giang will affirm its position on the tourism map of Vietnam and the world.
