Goalkeeper Kim Thanh returns to Ho Chi Minh City Club, coach Kim Chi is still fair with goalkeeper Quach Thu Em when she needs to evaluate Thanh's integration before giving her the starting position in goal.
"Goalkeeper Kim Thanh returned to play for the HCMC Women's Club, helping the defense play more solidly. However, due to being away from the team for a long time, she needs more time to integrate. Depending on her level of adaptation, the coaching staff will arrange. Kim Thanh can be the main goalkeeper or Quach Thu Em can still be chosen, because of her stable performance" - Coach Kim Chi expressed.
In addition, Huynh Nhu said that the return of her former teammate Kim Thanh received great joy from the whole team. This is a great return of an experienced goalkeeper for the AFC Women's Champions League (C1 Asian Women) 2025-2026.

Coach Kim Chi needs to evaluate Kim Thanh's integration after a long time away from the team before giving her a starting position.
In addition to the return of the goalkeeper who participated in the Women's World Cup, the Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club previously had maximum reinforcements when registering 6 foreign players to participate in the continental arena.
Coach Kim Chi shared that the foreign players all arrived since the beginning of October, so they had time to integrate and adapt to the weather and food conditions. This group of foreign players also watched the team's matches in the National Championship (in Hanoi ), so when they started training and arranging the team, they had some understanding of the playing style. Notably, 4/6 of these foreign players had participated in the group stage or quarter-finals of the previous season with the HCMC Women's Club.
Regarding the foreign force, four old players who played with the team last season will be a good support for the battle in this big club-level arena. Two new foreign players also performed well when facing the Vietnamese team, and will likely be given a starting position by Coach Kim Chi in the upcoming group stage at Thong Nhat Stadium.
"The team had a 10-day training trip in Hanoi recently, and had two friendly matches with the Vietnamese women's team. The playing style and integration ability of the two new foreign players have improved, and they are now ready for the second season," added coach Kim Chi.

Ho Chi Minh City Women's Club aims for the Asian Women's C1 Tournament starting on November 13 at Thong Nhat Stadium (Ho Chi Minh City)
Evaluating the opponents in Group A of the 2025-2026 Asian Women's Cup C1, Coach Kim Chi said that the opponents are completely new and do not have much information, the coaching staff also watched the clips of them playing in the preliminary round. However, in the group stage, they will have changes and invest more in foreign players, so the second season promises to be more difficult.
"After last year's success, this season's goal is different, but the team always considers every match in every tournament as a final, determined to achieve good results, complete the set goals and bring joy to the fans of Ho Chi Minh City Club when they come to the stadium" - Coach Kim Chi shared.
Kim Chi and her team will play the role of host of group A, starting the tournament on November 13 against Stallion Laguna (Philippines) and then meet Lion City Sailors (Singapore, November 16), Melbourne City (Australia, November 19).
In this year's tournament, AFC also applied a similar system to VAR, FVS - Football Video Support, but this system is simpler and less expensive, right from the group stage.
