According to Lao Dong, the interest rate on savings deposits at the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) currently fluctuates between 1.7-4.7%/year for deposits at the counter and between 2.0-4.8%/year for online deposits.

BIDV's online deposit interest rate is 0.1-0.3 percentage points higher than the counter deposit rate, currently listed as follows:

Interest rate for 1-month term deposits is 2.0%/year.

3-month deposit interest rate is 2.3%/year.

Interest rate on 6-9 month term deposits is 3.3%/year.

Interest rate on 12-18 month term deposits is 4.7%/year.

Interest rate on 24-36 month term deposits is 4.8%/year.

BIDV's counter deposit interest rates are currently listed as follows:

1-month deposit interest rate is 1.7%/year.

3-month deposit interest rate is 2.0%/year.

Interest rate for deposits with terms of 6-9 months is 3.0%/year. Interest rate for deposits with terms greater than 12 months is 4.7%/year.

In the Big4 banking group including BIDV, Vietcombank, VietinBank, Agribank , VietinBank is currently holding the most preferential interest rate compared to the remaining banks, followed by BIDV's interest rate.

Accordingly, BIDV's interest rate currently fluctuates between 1.7-4.8%/year, Vietcombank's interest rate currently fluctuates between 1.6-4.7%/year, Agribank's interest rate fluctuates between 1.6-4.7%/year, VietinBank's interest rate fluctuates between 2.0-5.0%/year.

Although Agribank and Vietcombank interest rates fluctuate within a similar range, Agribank's interest rates are 0.1 percentage points higher than Vietcombank's for terms of 6 months, 9 months and 12 months.
