Lam Dong trains skills and updates foreign affairs knowledge for leaders at all levels

On the morning of November 7, Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee organized a training course to improve skills and update foreign affairs knowledge for leaders of provincial agencies and Party Committees and People's Committees at commune level in person at the provincial bridge and online at 124 bridge points of communes, wards and special zones in the province.

According to Lam Dong Department of Foreign Affairs, Party foreign affairs, State foreign affairs, and People's foreign affairs are the three main pillars in our country's current foreign affairs activities. These activities have been and are contributing greatly to the overall achievements of the country's innovation and development, especially national defense and security. In localities, foreign affairs activities make an important contribution to promoting international economic integration, maintaining border security and order, and are given attention and focused direction by local Party committees and authorities at all levels.

In particular, in the context of increasingly deep international integration, the Party's foreign affairs and State diplomacy continue to affirm their important role in expanding cooperative relations, attracting investment, developing socio-economy, ensuring national defense and security, enhancing the position and prestige of the country in general, as well as Lam Dong province in particular.

This training course aims to equip and update knowledge and practical skills in local foreign affairs, meeting the increasing demands of the international integration process and foreign affairs tasks in the new situation. This is also an opportunity for trainees to exchange experiences, improve leadership, management and operational capacity, contributing to the effective implementation of political tasks and socio-economic development of the province.

Training course at provincial level

During the day, trainees were trained and provided with knowledge in 5 topics including "Foreign reception work at the local level: Theory, practical experience and practice"; "Management and implementation of foreign affairs activities at the local level"; "Foreign information skills and expertise; interview answering skills, handling foreign press crises"; "Update on the world and regional situation and implementation of Vietnam's foreign policy; situation of border management of islands and the East Sea; thoroughly implementing Resolution No. 59-NQ/TW dated January 24, 2025 of the Politburo on international integration in the new situation"; "Consular work, citizen protection; work of Vietnamese people abroad; work of foreign non-governmental organizations".
