On the afternoon of September 11, at the Government Headquarters, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh chaired a meeting of the Steering Committee for the National Achievement Exhibition on summarizing, rewarding, and closing the exhibition.
Over 6.6 million visitors visited the exhibition
On the morning of August 28, the opening ceremony of the exhibition of national achievements on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2 with the theme "80 years of the Journey of Independence - Freedom - Happiness" was solemnly held at the National Exhibition Center.
The exhibition officially opened free of charge to serve the people and visitors from the afternoon of August 28.
In order to meet the needs and aspirations, and create conditions for the majority of people to have more time to visit and experience the activities at the exhibition, the Prime Minister has decided to extend the exhibition period until September 15, 2025.
According to the report of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in 13 days, from August 28 to September 9, the number of visitors to the exhibition is estimated to reach over 6.6 million. Of which, the peak time is up to more than one million visitors/day.
The main activities at the exhibition include: displaying and introducing the country's outstanding achievements in 80 years of construction, protection and development in various fields organized by ministries, branches, localities and enterprises in the sub-areas, in forms such as: large panels, photos, drawings, documents, artifacts combined with 3D mapping projections, virtual reality experiences, multimedia audiovisual works, digital technology applications, artificial intelligence...
In addition, there are supporting activities such as major art programs; seminars, forums, cooperation signing; art performances, interactions, experiences at exhibition spaces; traditional martial arts performances, ao dai performances, hot air balloon flights, fireworks displays; auctions of works of art, circus performances, free film screenings and exchanges with famous artists; e-sports competitions, game experiences at the space of 12 cultural industries...
During the exhibition, many international delegations came to visit, including many high-level delegations.
As of September 9, no serious incidents or problems have occurred. However, the large number of visitors to the exhibition has put a lot of pressure on the Organizing Committee and exhibitors in organizing, managing operations, ensuring exhibition space, food space, security, order, traffic and health care...

High determination, great effort to successfully organize the exhibition closing ceremony
At the meeting, the Exhibition Steering Committee reviewed and heard reports on the work done.
Representatives of ministries, branches and localities gave their opinions on related contents, reported on the implementation of assigned tasks, raised difficulties and problems for the Steering Committee to consider and discuss solutions; at the same time, discussed the work of summarizing, rewarding, and preparing for the closing ceremony of the exhibition to mark the successful end of a political-cultural activity of special significance on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the successful August Revolution and National Day September 2.
At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh affirmed that the National Achievements Exhibition has attracted special attention, creating a widespread effect among all classes of people. The exhibition not only honors and introduces the outstanding achievements of the Party and State in the process of fighting, protecting, building and developing the country; contributes to propagating and educating the tradition of patriotism, strengthening people's confidence in the path of innovation and sustainable development; promotes the image of a dynamic, innovative Vietnam, deeply integrated with the world, but is also an opportunity for all people to directly experience and enjoy the great achievements of the country.
On behalf of the Government, the Prime Minister, and the Exhibition Steering Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh welcomed, acknowledged, and highly appreciated the ministries, departments, branches, central and local agencies, and relevant agencies that in a very short time, with high determination and great efforts, have tried to focus on implementing tasks and work to make the exhibition achieve good results.
The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the exhibition attracting the attention of a large number of people and visitors is a great joy and encouragement for the Steering Committee, the Organizing Committee of the exhibition as well as the participating ministries, branches, localities, agencies and units; thereby also clearly demonstrating the professionalism and modernity in the organization as well as the attractive, rich and lively content and form of the exhibition.
The time from now until the closing day is not long, the Deputy Prime Minister requested departments, ministries, branches and localities to continue to make efforts and coordinate closely to successfully organize the closing ceremony of the exhibition, creating a deep impression in the hearts of the people.
"The closing ceremony is not only a ritual to conclude an event but also an opportunity for us to summarize experiences and spread the message of the exhibition's success. Therefore, preparations for the closing ceremony must be carried out carefully, safely, solemnly, economically, but also ensure that it is appropriate to the national scale. I request the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and units to continue to promote the spirit of initiative and the highest responsibility to successfully organize the ceremony," the Deputy Prime Minister assigned tasks to ministries and branches.
In addition, agencies and units urgently implement the process of proposing and requesting the awarding of Certificates of Merit of the Prime Minister to collectives and individuals according to the regulations on emulation and commendation, instructions of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the content of the official dispatch of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, to organize the awarding at the exhibition; notify people and visitors about the exhibition closing time on September 15, 2025 to ensure security and safety./.
