With affection and responsibility for the sea and islands of the Fatherland, each cadre, civil servant, public employee and worker of the Hanoi Party Committee donated at least 1 day's salary. According to initial statistics, the Hanoi Party Committee donated nearly 100 million VND to the Fund.

It is expected that this afternoon, March 20, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee in Hanoi will officially launch the support for the Fund "For Vietnam's Seas and Islands" in 2024. The Fund "For Vietnam's Seas and Islands" was established in 2018 on the basis of renaming the "Fund for Beloved Truong Sa" since 2011 to expand the scope, improve the efficiency of the Fund's operations, contribute to improving the material and spiritual life of soldiers and people on the seas and islands of the Fatherland, in which priority is given to key and strategic areas, especially Truong Sa island district and DK1 Platform.

Since the Fund was established, Hanoi has always been one of the localities that actively participated and supported the Fund the most. In 2023, after nearly 2 months of launching, 319 organizations, units and individuals supported the Fund "For Vietnam's seas and islands" with a total amount of more than 37.5 billion VND.
