Leaders of Ha Tinh province visited, inspected and congratulated soldiers on duty at Son Duong Island.

(NADS) - On the morning of January 30, within the framework of the Ha Tinh Youth Program with a journey to the homeland's islands, the working delegation of the Provincial Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ha Tinh province visited, wished a happy new year and encouraged soldiers on duty on Son Duong island (Ky Anh town) on the occasion of the 2024 Giap Thin New Year.

Comrade Hoang Trung Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Secretary of the Military Party Committee of Ha Tinh province led the delegation. Accompanying him were Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Bao Ha; Director of the Provincial Public Security Department Nguyen Hong Phong and leaders of departments, branches and localities. Accompanying the delegation was the Ha Tinh Provincial Youth Union.

Son Duong Island has a very important strategic position, it is the outpost, the “divine eye” guarding the sea in Ha Tinh. Therefore, the soldiers on duty here are day and night holding their guns firmly, steadfast in their faith, persistently protecting the peace of their homeland’s sea and islands...

Son Duong Island has an extremely important strategic position in the defense area combat plan of Military Region 4 in general and Ha Tinh in particular, so the work of protecting the island and being ready to fight here is always focused on and well organized. With the assigned responsibility, the island soldiers did not fear difficulties, shortages, and dangers, steadfastly staying at the front line to excellently complete the mission.

Within the framework of the program, the Provincial Party Secretary and the delegation attended the inauguration and handover of the solar power project on the island to serve the officers and soldiers in performing their duties well on the island.
