Summer Enjoyment Festival - Wow Da Nang: Creating new tourism products to attract tourists

DNO - From July 28 to August 1, the Da Nang Summer Enjoyment Festival - Wow Da Nang will take place , with many exciting and new activities expected to attract locals and tourists. That was the information at a press conference organized by the Department of Tourism on the afternoon of July 4.

Speaking at the press conference, Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee Ngo Thi Kim Yen said that Da Nang tourism activities are gradually recovering and developing strongly with a series of events and festivals being continuously organized, contributing to creating a vibrant and fresh atmosphere attracting a large number of domestic and international tourists to Da Nang in the first 6 months of the year.

Highlights include the Asian Film Festival; the opening program of the beach tourism season; the Quan The Am festival; the Hai Chau communal house festival; the Hoa Bac tourism week; the IRONMAN 70.3 competition along with sports , cultural events, and festivals on both banks of the Han River and along the coast.

In the first 6 months of the year, Da Nang welcomed and served about 3.5 million visitors, reaching 89% of the 2023 plan, of which international visitors were estimated at 930,000 and domestic visitors were estimated at 2.58 million; revenue from accommodation and travel services was estimated at VND 6,231 billion, up 99% over the same period in 2022.

In addition, many locations have upgraded and invested in new products and services to attract tourists to visit and experience. In particular, the re-organization of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival (DIFF) 2023 after a 3-year suspension due to the pandemic has made Da Nang bustling and vibrant in June.

“To become an attractive destination, a conference center, and a festival event as expected, this summer, Da Nang will not only have a fireworks festival but also new experiences and many other attractive events and festivals to attract tourists.

This is an annual event organized by the city with increasing diversity, helping to promote tourism and beach resort products, bringing to residents and tourists many new and impressive activities, contributing to positioning Da Nang - Asia's leading tourist destination.

At the 2023 Summer Enjoyment Festival, there are many notable contents such as: the 2023 Da Nang Summer Enjoyment Music Night; Vietnamese - international food festival with more than 50 local and international food stalls; kite art performance; Zumba flashmob and Bikini kids flashmob; Da Nang city open paragliding competition; coastal festival; series of art performances; "Da Nang Summer Enjoyment" tour program...

The festival is a typical, unique cultural and tourism event at the city level, held annually to create new tourism products, attracting domestic and international tourists.

Through this, it is expected to contribute to creating entertainment activities to serve the people, tourists and promote the city's sea tourism products, contributing to making Da Nang a city of events and festivals.
