Summer vacation schedule for the 2024-2025 school year for students nationwide

The Ministry of Education and Training issued a framework for the 2024-2025 school year, including the summer vacation schedule for students nationwide.

Most localities will let students have summer vacation starting from June 1. (Source: VNA)

According to Decision 2045/QD-BGDDT in 2024, the Ministryof Education and Training issued the time schedule framework for the 2024-2025 school year for preschool education, general education and continuing education applied nationwide as follows:

- Return to school at least 1 week before the opening day. For grade 1, return to school at least 2 weeks before the opening day.

- Opening ceremony on September 5, 2024.

- Finish semester I before January 18, 2025, complete the program and end the school year before May 31, 2025.

- Consider recognition of completion of primary school program and consider recognition of graduation from secondary school before June 30, 2025.

- Complete enrollment for first grade classes before July 31, 2025.

- The 2025 high school graduation exam is scheduled to take place on June 26 and 27, 2025.

- Other national exams are organized according to regulations and instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training.

Thus, students nationwide will have summer vacation after May 31, 2025. The specific summer vacation schedule will be determined by each province and city as follows:
