In a document sent to the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the Ministry of Education and Training agreed to the plan for students, officials and teachers to have Tet holiday 2025 from Saturday, January 25 to Sunday, February 2 (ie December 26, year of Giap Thin to January 5, year of At Ty).
After the Ministry of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs submitted the plan to the Prime Minister, 13/16 agencies and ministries agreed, the rest did not comment. With this plan, officials, teachers, school staff and students will have 9 days off (including 5 days off for Lunar New Year and 4 days off for the weekend).
However, most universities give students a longer break. The reason is that schools are proactive in arranging training plans and school year time frames. Lunar New Year also often coincides with the end of the first semester, so the break schedule does not affect students' studies.
