Hai Phong City People's Committee has just announced the Lunar New Year and National Day holidays in 2026 for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the city.

Civil servants, public employees, and workers will have 9 consecutive days off for the Binh Ngo New Year, from February 14, 2020 (December 27, At Ty year) to February 22, 2026 (January 6, Binh Ngo year).

Accordingly, civil servants, public employees, and employees of administrative agencies, public service agencies, political organizations, and socio-political organizations will have 5 days off for the Binh Ngo New Year according to regulations, from February 16, 2026 (December 29, At Ty year) to February 20, 2026 (January 4, Binh Ngo year).

Including Saturdays and Sundays, civil servants, public employees, and workers will have 9 consecutive days off for Tet, from February 14, 202026 (December 27, year of the Snake) to February 22, 2026 (January 6, year of the Horse).

For National Day September 2, 2026, civil servants, public employees, and workers will have 2 days off according to regulations, including September 1, 2026 and September 2, 2026; Monday August 31, 2026 and work as a compensatory day on Saturday August 22, 2026.

Including Saturday, Sunday, and National Day holiday on September 2, 2026, civil servants, public employees, and workers will have 5 consecutive days off (from August 29, 2026 to September 2, 2026).

The People's Committee of Hai Phong City requested the Chairmen of the People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones to direct departments, branches and organizations in the area to manage and mobilize people to hang the national flag during the Lunar New Year holiday and National Day holiday on September 2, 2026.

Previously, the Ministry of Home Affairs issued Notice No. 9441/TB-BNV dated October 16, 2025 on Lunar New Year and National Day holidays in 2026 for cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers.
