The 2024 AFF Cup (ASEAN Cup) final will be a match between Vietnam and Thailand. This will be the third time the two teams have met for the Southeast Asian championship. In the previous two matches, Vietnam won in 2008 and Thailand was crowned in 2022.

The first leg of the final will take place at Viet Tri Stadium ( Phu Tho ) - the home ground of the Vietnamese team. The second leg will take place at Rajamangala Stadium (Bangkok, Thailand). The away goal rule will not be applied in the 2024 AFF Cup. The team that scores more goals after 2 matches will win the championship.
In case the aggregate score at the end of the second half of the second leg is still a draw, the Vietnam and Thailand teams will play extra time. If there is still a draw, the two teams will take a penalty shootout to determine the champion of the AFF Cup 2024.

Vietnam is the only team that has not lost a single match in the 2024 AFF Cup before the final. Coach Kim Sang-sik's team defeated Laos, Indonesia, Myanmar in the group stage and Singapore twice in the semi-finals. Vietnam is also the team that has conceded the fewest goals (3 times).
Meanwhile, Thailand was the team with the most goals in the tournament (22 goals). The team from the Golden Temple won all 4 matches in the group stage, defeating Timor Leste, Malaysia, Singapore and Cambodia. In the semi-finals, Thailand lost to the Philippines in the first leg but turned the situation around in the second leg.
