Having won third prize in the Hanoi Singing Contest 2023, singer Khanh Thy is considered one of the most promising young talents in the lyrical music genre – gentle, profound, yet full of inner strength.

Singer Khánh Thy won third prize in the Hanoi Singing Contest 2023.
However, at one point, the singer caused a stir with her blunt, even impulsive, statements, especially when netizens criticized her for writing song lyrics on her hand before singing.
Sharing her thoughts on the matter, Khanh Thy didn't shy away: " I don't mind being reminded of that. Back then, I was young, impulsive, and not mature enough. After those setbacks, I learned a lot and became more mature. Now I'm careful in my speech, I know how to listen, and I want to prove myself through real ability, not through hype."
To become the Khánh Thy of today, I had to pour all my energy into art. I understand that the audience is the most discerning; they only recognize artists when they have real talent and produce quality work."
Despite starting her musical career relatively late and lacking a family background in the arts, she persevered in pursuing her passion, gradually establishing her name through hard work and love for music.
After her debut album "Okay, I'll Get Married" (2024), Khanh Thy continued to assert herself with her second album, which was not titled. The album consists of 11 songs, ranging from timeless classics by composers Minh Ky, Lam Phuong, Truong Sa, Anh Bang… to new compositions by Duc Tri, Viet Anh, Phan Manh Quynh, and Hamlet Truong.
"I don't want to chase trends. Right now, I want the audience to see a more profound and mature Khanh Thy. Who knows, maybe next time I'll do something more surprising, but this album is my way of telling the audience about who I am today," Khanh Thy said.
People's Artist Ha Thuy, the teacher who has accompanied and guided Khanh Thy from the beginning, commented: "Thy is a girl who is very emotional and straightforward in expressing her feelings. When faced with difficulties, she reacts very sincerely, sometimes impulsively, but that is a valuable trait of youth."

People's Artist Ha Thuy commented on her student Khanh Thy.
According to People's Artist Ha Thuy, Khanh Thy sings with genuine emotion, without pretense or embellishment. The veteran artist also praised her student as someone who is eager to learn, frequently calls her teachers to ask about professional matters and new products.
People's Artist Nguyen Quang Vinh, former Director of the Department of Performing Arts, commented that Khanh Thy possesses a voice that is "unadulterated," simple, pure, and does not need the support of modern technology.
Khánh Thy said that she appreciates every compliment and suggestion from her seniors, and hopes to maintain sincerity in her music.
