National Library Staff Festival promotes reading culture and introduces books in Dak Lak

NDO - The festival is one of many activities to innovate the application of information technology in propaganda work, thereby improving efficiency, spreading strongly and contributing to encouraging reading, promoting reading culture in the community.

On the afternoon of May 26, the leader of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province said that from May 26 to 30, at the Dak Lak Provincial Culture and Tourism Center, the National Library Staff Festival will take place to promote the development of reading culture and introduce books - celebrating major holidays and important historical events of the country in 2025 with the theme "Epic of the Country". The program is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the People's Committee of Dak Lak province.

The festival is a meaningful activity to introduce and disseminate books, newspapers and documents about historical milestones such as: Tay Nguyen Campaign; Great victory in Spring 1975 liberating the South, unifying the country; about historical traditions, heroic struggles of our army and people in the cause of building, protecting, innovating and developing the country over the past 80 years... contributing to propagating andeducating the tradition of patriotism, national pride, arousing the desire to contribute, building a prosperous and happy country.

The festival was attended by 33 delegations with nearly 1,000 delegates representing more than 10,000 librarians nationwide. The festival is one of many activities aimed at innovating the application of information technology in propaganda work, thereby improving efficiency, spreading strongly and contributing to encouraging reading and promoting reading culture in the community.

The opening ceremony of the Festival will take place at 7:15 p.m. on May 27, 2025 at the Dak Lak Provincial Cultural and Tourism Center.

The programs of 33 library groups will be posted on the YouTube channel Books and Vietnamese Intelligence for the audience to watch and vote online. Based on the voting results, the Organizing Committee will award the most favorite program.

Within the framework of the Festival, the Organizing Committee will organize an exhibition of books, newspapers and documents about the Central Highlands Campaign and the Great Spring Victory in 1975; the 135th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh; the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; the cause of innovation and development of the country after the reunification, along with typical images in the activities of developing a culture of reading and lifelong learning of the library system nationwide.

The opening ceremony of the Festival will take place at 7:15 p.m. on May 27, 2025 at the Dak Lak Provincial Culture and Tourism Center. The closing ceremony, summary and award ceremony of the Festival will take place at 3:00 p.m. on May 30, 2025 at the same location.
