Because, alongside decisiveness, independence, and unique, distinctive services to attract tourists, effective collaboration and cooperation are essential for sustainable tourism development. Tourism businesses and service providers must not only "go fast" but also "go far" and "go together."

Located at the "gateway" to the Northwest region, Phu Tho province serves as a bridge connecting the Northwest with Hanoi. With two UNESCO-recognized intangible cultural heritage sites – "The Hung Kings Worshiping Belief in Phu Tho" and "Phu Tho Xoan Singing" – along with a diverse system of historical, cultural, archaeological, architectural, and revolutionary relics associated with the country's development, Phu Tho possesses a rich and varied tourism resource base. This provides a crucial foundation and condition for Phu Tho to attract tourists.
Since the beginning of the year, the province has continued to invest in upgrading and renewing tourism products associated with culture at the Hung Temple Historical Site; Thanh Thuy hot spring resort and Xuan Son National Park, along with many models of spiritual and cultural tourism, community-based cultural tourism associated with experiencing agricultural activities and traditional craft production. The province has also developed and recognized a number of tourist destinations in localities and historical sites. In addition, the tourism sector has also organized the launch of an educational history tourism product for students using the interactive Outing Trip App “Searching for Ancient Artifacts” at the Hung Vuong Museum of the province and organized a seminar on developing school tourism products on March 23, 2024. It has also provided advice and support to student groups experiencing school tourism products at the Hung Vuong Museum.
Ms. Le Thi Thu Hien, Deputy Head of the Exhibition and Communication Department at the Hung Vuong Museum, said: "Currently, we are organizing additional 'history lessons' and experiential activities, folk games, documentary film screenings, and photo check-in areas in various exhibition areas to support the thematic exhibitions. The provinces and cities in the Cooperation Group actively invested in and upgraded unique tourism products, developed new tourism products based on their strengths, differences, and competitiveness in the market, and promoted the exploitation of inter-provincial tourism tours. At the same time, the provinces and cities in the Group strengthened communication, introduction, and promotion of inter-provincial tourism tours to tourists and travel businesses nationwide, gradually putting into effective operation tourism tours connecting the expanded Northwestern provinces and Ho Chi Minh City according to the common cooperation agreement, such as: the "Returning to the Ancestral Land - The Roots of the Nation" tour; The Epic of Northwest Vietnam; The Beauty of the Highlands... The total number of tourists visiting the 8 provinces of the expanded Northwest region and Ho Chi Minh City in the first 6 months of 2024 reached nearly 40 million, an increase of 8.7% compared to the same period, achieving 55.1% of the annual plan.
In the coming period, the tourism development activities under the signed cooperation agreement will continue to be maintained and promoted by the provinces in the Cooperation Group, focusing on completing unfinished tasks in the cooperation program according to Plan No. 5235/KH-NHT: Organizing Famtrip/Presstrip delegations to develop thematic tourism tours on "Connecting the cultural and historical values of the nation, community tourism, and the Northwest tea region." Developing and exploiting tourism products connecting heritage sites between the provinces of Lai Chau, Lao Cai, and Ha Giang... while simultaneously promoting and introducing the potential strengths and tourism products of the localities through mass media. Promoting the application of digital transformation technology in tourism development cooperation activities and enhancing the application of technology in tourism activities. Through tourism activities, continuing to connect and maintain the supply chain to introduce characteristic goods and OCOP products of the provinces in the Group to the Ho Chi Minh City market.
