Phu Tho: 120 booths on display at Cao Phong Orange Festival

On the evening of December 12th, the Cao Phong Orange Festival and Exhibition showcasing characteristic products of ethnic minority and mountainous regions in 2025 opened in Cao Phong commune, Phu Tho province.

This is an annual event, first held in 2015. This year, the Phu Tho Department of Industry and Trade is coordinating with the Party Committee and People's Committee of Cao Phong commune to organize it.

The festival will take place from December 12-18, 2025, promising many experiences for visitors and opportunities for collaboration for investors.

This year's festival attracted 120 exhibition booths, including 60 booths dedicated to various types of oranges, tangerines, pomelos, OCOP products, agricultural, forestry, and aquatic products, handicrafts, and food from cooperatives and production facilities in the three communes of Cao Phong, Muong Thang, and Thung Nai. The remaining 60 booths were for general commercial products, products from traditional craft villages, and booths introducing and guiding tourists to attractions in Cao Phong commune in particular and in Phu Tho province and neighboring provinces in general.

A new feature of this year's festival is the cultural, sports , and tourism exchange activities titled "The Sweet Flavors of Cao Phong, the Enchanting Culture of the Muong Land." The performances showcase rich traditional culture, including: a cultural program themed "Shining Golden Oranges"; and a talent competition themed "Sing Well, Win Prizes."

The festival also features a variety of other activities such as: the "Cao Phong Trail 2025 - Orange Color on Mung Village Road" sports exchange program; the 2025 Open Volleyball Tournament; men's and women's tug-of-war competitions; the "throwing the ball" contest and "Hunting for Sweet Fruits"; culinary experiences at orange orchards; and visits to the National-level scenic spots of the Dragon Head Mountain Cave Complex, the Vietnamese Scientists' Heritage Park, and many other attractive tourist destinations... These are outstanding activities that create important highlights to promote and boost tourism development in Cao Phong in the future.

In his opening remarks at the festival, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade and Head of the Organizing Committee, Duong Quoc Thang, emphasized: This is an opportunity for businesses, households, and individuals inside and outside the province to promote trade, enhance the brand of oranges and other agricultural products. At the same time, it stimulates domestic consumption, creates a favorable environment for businesses, entrepreneurs, and producers to meet, exchange experiences, and transfer agricultural technology, contributing to increasing the value and importance of Cao Phong oranges.

Phu Tho province will continue to create favorable conditions for organizations and individuals to produce and trade Cao Phong oranges in accordance with the protected content. In particular, it will provide technical support and promote the application of orange production processes according to VietGAP standards, ensuring that products bearing the Cao Phong geographical indication meet the prescribed conditions regarding quality and origin, thereby maintaining the reputation and prestige of the product; and ensuring that consumers have access to high-quality oranges with clear origins.

The Phu Tho Department of Industry and Trade hopes that all levels, sectors, investors, businesses, and cooperatives will join hands with the locality to invest in advanced science and technology in production, coordinate business, product consumption, and promotion with the goal of developing Cao Phong oranges in terms of quantity, quality, and competitiveness, contributing to the socio-economic development of Cao Phong commune in particular and Phu Tho province in general.
